I think year 1989 was the absolute best in Metallica history, performance-wise. Lars could still play anything, and James could sing anything, with his voice literally sounding even better than what had been recorded on the studio albums themselves.

That's when he started using Explorers. Also, Kirk is not using a King V, That's a Jackson RR. King V's have equally sized 'wings'. An RR has one shorter wing.
