i have two winter coats; a red ( M&S) one and a navy, purple and mustard chequed one( H&M) . in my opinion, i prefer the checqued one, because it is more bright, but also because i dont have anything to wear with the red one!! what would you suggest?? it is red (durr!!) with buttons down the left side.

Hey Julie; Nice advice for fitting a coat in areas with milder winter temps, but I like to have at least one or two coats with a looser fit so there's plenty of room for a sweater or a blazer underneath. That's "the Chicago way" (LOL).

Wool coats are always good, fake furs can offer a lot of warmth and some fun besides, and to be REALLY toasty, either a long well-fitted down coat with a hood, or my oh-so-luxurious all-time favorite(sorry PETA!), a full-length fur with a plush collar.

I think that a wool coat is always a classic choice. However, I believe that it doesn't have to be black (there are way too many black and grey coats already), In my opinion red, plum or even green can be really great colours that can go from year to year and be sort of timeless. Finding a good winter coat can be tricky and it was nice of you to make a video on what to look in one type of a coat.

No, you don't have to use Konad polish. Just make sure the polish you use is opaque enough and not too watery.

I love watching your videos and your fashion fridays, but I have to say that coat is too big for you and just was a bit frumpy looking :/ If it was a size smaller it probably wouldn't look as boxy. I got my winter coat from Gap last year and its a nice way to get a classic coat with a bit more detailing to make it more womanly. Again, love watching you videos!
