  • Sorry guys, The cold air intake didn,t work. The engine was a complete shit, could never get the damn thing to run right. It was ver boared to 211 cc. Apart from that cant remember what else it had, as I have sold the motor now. Now run a stock Subaru KX21 engine, much more reliable.

  • I love the music

  • I love the cold air intake, lol.

  • Dam with 3500$ you could have bought yourself a good 250cc shifter kart and you would smoke all those guys on the track. In my opinion 3500 is way too much for a kart like that. just sayin

  • What size piston you running pal?

  • what is the size of your rear sprocket?

  • Did you see any increase in power or rpm by making that long intake?

  • When you bored the engine did u put a new sleeve in or just bore as much as u could?

  • nice cold air intake. lol.

  • Sorry misunderstood what you said.

The mufflers were bought at a local motor cycle shop. They are off a 250cc dirt bike. But dont get them, the engine blew them to peices. They are no longer on the kart.

  • I made it.

  • who is this ian? did he bore the piston for you to make it 220cc?

and how much have you spent on this kart?

  • Ian is a local guy who races, and dable in abit of engine building. No he didnt bore the engine, that was done at a machine shop.

And finaly to about Aus $3500 so far, all inclusive.

  • ian doesnt race

  • All right He doesnt race per say, he does run around the track now and then though. He has is recovering from surgery at the moment. Had hip replacment! OUCH!

  • when you say you have bored the engine, is it the piston you have bored and put a bigger piston in?

  • The boar has been over sized yes and the piston is bigger.

  • lol also what that box on the front on the engine what ur filter is conected to

  • That's his catch can, there's a flappy valve in the rockerbox cover, this prevenrts oil going through the oil breather to the intake of the standard carb, extremely moddified gx engines breathe more, a catch can solves the excessive oil vapour problem.

  • mate i got ripped off by ian my engine has casued me nothin but trouble u wait ur engine will fuck up soon,, well it ran like shit at the dirt track so yerrr

  • but that was jetting problems

  • This one had jetting issues to, but that cant be blamed on Ian as he didnt put the carbie on, I did.

But it seems ok at the moment.

  • As a matter of interest , what cam have you gone for?

  • Id have to speek to the engine builder, but if memory serves me, NR racings, camshaft, 285-0607, with postie bike springs.

  • Ah yes forgot stainless steel valves buileted rods and hardened springs.

  • The engine boared to 219cc with ARC builted rod, piston, and flywheel, Cam, mikuni carbie. custom made inlet manifold. Shortley it will have roller rockers in as well.

The engine started life as 196cc

  • its 200cc not 220. what have you done to your engine apart from the intake, and the exhaust
