Wow, you already got Satellite Beam, and level 2 elemental spells!? That's some hardcore grinding right there. If your not into grinding, you can beat Bottomswell simply by poisoning him with either Bio materia or a Toxic waste battle item. Keep all your characters in the back row, and so long as you don't attack him, he won't use his Bubble or Water wave attacks. Just his tail whip, which only does about a 100 damage. You can beat him with Cloud only at level 9 with this strategy.

This was tricky but I remember being stuck at the boss in cosmo canyon for ages because I hadn't been fighting enough and leveling my characters up. Spent days trying to get them up to a level to win that fight. Lol
