  • This is great! I'm just starting to train an alpaca I work with(and hopefully one day own) to do tricks like these, any tips? :)

  • @Qwinette88 I have done all my work with my two boys using the methods of Camelidynamics as a foundation together with Clicker Training. There is a ton of information about what I have done with my boys at the Camelidynamics Guild Forum under two threads, Alpaca Enrichment and Behavior Analysis. Find me on Facebook if you want more information and send me a note.

  • Most of the time Canela, the tan one, is usually eating or just watching. I think he has it figured out that he has to do what I am asking to get the treat. Normally, each takes a turn so I am talking directly to the one that is being trained. Both will try to get a treat any time, any place if it is offered, but they seem to understand they have to do the required task to get one when I am clicker training.

  • How can you use the same sound on both of them? Doesnt the other one get confused? I can see the brown alpaca expecting a treat when it hears the clickingsound.
