Some early Christian groups like Marcionism actually believed whatever was described in the Bible or made this world was evil. My dad is one of those Christians (actually Catholics are all taught this way but not non-Catholics generally) who believes evolution is simply the mechanism through which God works, and that most of the stories in the Bible are simply metaphors. When I brought up that I didn't buy Creationism, my mom said to dad, straighten him out and she was surprised to hear he agreed with me.

Also your videos don't come out and say it but most of them kind of lead you with the feeling that all religious people are creationist which is not true. I say all evolutionist religious and nonreligious explain to creationist that evolution is true.

@gigaboy47 Well, in the case of this video it's taking the scriptures literally because that's how they're meant to be taken. It's obviously all bullshit or excuses to kill people in the name of God. However, Christians do take scriptures as the holy word of God, so how could we take them any other way than literal? The stance your trying to take is an apologetic one, where someone tries to rationalize the bible, but that isn't how the bible is set up.

@gigaboy47 Also it's not pointing out that ALL religious people are creationists, just the Christian POV in this case. If you believe Genesis in the bible actually happened, then you are a creationist. If you do not believe Genesis and you say you believe in a scientific approach then your a rationalist. If you believe in neither, or you just admit to not knowing anything at all about how everything began, then your just a skeptic.

@gigaboy47 Well, most atheists were raised Christian (in America), that's why they know what they do. It's easy to understand that when around 70% of Americans are christian. Also, if you google -ny times bible knowledge- it was a study that ny times did that gave the leading knowledge of religion to atheists. Whether you believe the study or not, I feel like it is true. I believe that most atheists became that way because of extensive study into the bible.

Some early Christian groups like Marcionism actually believed whatever was described in the Bible or made this world was evil. A creator who made all the evil and good (or is amoral) makes more sense if there was one, for this world of natural laws to be it's output. We don't need a god thankfully, it's a perhaps in the same sense 'perhaps evolution isn't true,' it's possibly just very unlikely

Thanks for your comment.There is a lot of evidence to support the Lord Jesus Christ being one of the Holy Trinity.For example,there are lots of prophecies.Sure why not look up a few,try Micah 5:2,Zechariah 9:9,Zechariah 5:12,Psalm 22,Psalm 69:21.This isn't a comprehensive list but let me know what you think.

@ccaptorchen You are correct when you allude to the fact that judgement by God the Father is responsible for many deaths,for example the Flood.There are many other examples of people being killed by God's judgement in the Old Testament.There are also examples of Ananias and Sapphira in the New Testament,Acts 5:1-10.What does this demonstrate? The fact that sin is very serious and must be dealt with.Why is sin so serious? Because God is completely Holy and without sin,sin is an offense to Him.
