I think it's a bit too loud and the melody can't be heard very clearly over the drums and bass. Otherwise it's nice.

Overall: Decent.

My major problem with it is that the louder instruments have a tendency to drown out the rest, especially near the start, where I have to strain to hear the main melody.

Well, in an old version of Cave Story, evidently he was to be called Curly Brace, though now that's just how his hat is. Could be it used to be Curly's hat or something.
