It was only meant to be available for 1 year, when they put it out. At least I don't see one everywhere I go. I keep trying to get into someone else's Camry when I take mine out for groceries.
@johnnylarue1 I Guess this is why most credible publications test and love this car. The MS3 uses torque management through gears 1-3 (which you can turn off) and a smart GKN limited slip diff to help control the torque dependent on steering angle and acceleration. I have not seen anything about blown seals being a problem with either gen nor anything about rust. The only recall was in the 2007 models for the motor mount and the optional all weather mat clearance between it and the gas pedal.
@johnnylarue1 I have mine (2008.5) and love it. Don't blame your driving skills on the car bud :) You can always get track tires, brakes etc. to help out with that. What is with your rust issues? You have some viable sources for this or was this personal experience? But like I said best bang for buck car under $25k.
@johnnylarue1 Now you are comparing a Kart to the MS3 to defend your driving skills. You are getting off topic, what does a used car have to do with a 2011 Mazdaspeed 3. I'm sure you could find a kit car or some old high performance that cost 25k, but that really has nothing to do with the current model. Compare apples to apples, you might have an actual valid point instead of running circles to defend your negative points. Don't like the MS3 go watch Kart videos. Zoom Zoom.
@johnnylarue1 Not to mention Subaru STi and Evo are in a different class from the MS3 and about 10k-15k more expensive... and as far as better performance between the 1st gen MS3 and Subaru of those years is not in the Subaru's favor. Besides it takes a good driver to make a car perform well. Can't beat a $23k car with governor limited top speed of 155mph, 0-60 in 5.6sec and a quarter mile of 14.1sec that can still tote the kids and make runs to the grocery store.
@johnnylarue1 I ran exactly 14.1 my first time out...I know weird...the 08 MS3 will do high 13's easy with a good driver and some bolt ons. I raced a early 2000's GT stang in the 1/8 and we were pretty even. I beat G35's all the time. And I doubt out of the box the mustang handles better than a MS3 on the track, but I know nothing about mustangs.
This video is pointless.
