its because of they were all in differnt locations and clones were treated as veterans in starwars republic cammando books it talks about the clones getting older and quiting service ..

the empire didnt have many people joining at that time anyway and they desided to switch to white armour because of it being more manacing or something BUT THE ORGINAL IDEA FOR COLOUR SCEME CAME FROM THE GAME REPUBLIC CAMMANDO

I think it's because the emperor and Vader like uniform more. Notice how everything in the original films on imperial ships and the Death star is clean and uniform. Also notice the Sith always have one color of blade, red. The jedi expand their horizons. that's why.

They didn't have the camouflage and decor because they were part of the Empire and it was a bit more serious. Plus, it would have been more trouble for the creation of the film because they have to specifically design every Stormtrooper and in 1977 they didn't have the funds.

Well i just read Dark lord by James Luceno... and i believe that once Darth Sidious became emperor he dispatched the Clones and shut down kamino. As well as the fact that Palpatine has an empire, he probably wanted to stop individualism. Also, most of Sidious' new troopers are not clones they wouldnt need a colour ranking system. Thats my guess...

They stopped being so "colorful" once Darth Vader came along and slapped some sense into them. He ordered them to stop being so gay with all that "Pimp My Armor" crap. They did, and the world of Star Wars was a better place because of it.
