@TanukiKGA I guess they teach you speed in baking school and if you had a cool gimmick or them like....."The Famicom Barkery....Making your Nintendo Favorites In Pastry Form" I cool see it taking off but you would have to a wide range of video game stuff or even movies like TRON Turnovers. : )
I like the idea, and the cookie is a good old classic. I think lemon icing would go well with that. WHat you could've done is make the cookies all deep red, and cut them in four. That way, people would have to find four pieces to make a complete heart, just like our little friend in green!

It actually complements the cookie quite well :) Shortcrust cookies are by nature a bit on the dry side, and relies heavily on spices and toppings to make them "pop". These doesnt pop-pop, but they are.. more of a breeze, if that makes any sense. Its late over here, I'll blame my weird analogies on that! ^^
But hey, dont forget, these were based on the original Legend of Zelda, where there were no heartpieces! ;D That came into play in Link to the past :)
But yeah, I thought about making a fourpiece cake too :) lets just say that I have to save some stuff for valentines! ;) If I only had a better way of applying the icing, I would've done the squiggly line down the middle on these ones.

@TanukiKGA Argh, I fail at geek knowledge! I'm more of a SNES fellow myself, so instantly thought of 4-pieces! Also, for a better way of spreading it out - Use a butter knife and place it on a cutting board or similar. If it's too runny to get it on the knife, let it run off a spoon onto it and be careful with the amount. Makes it alot straighter and it's easier to control than a spoon. It's what I do, anyway.

Before anyone mentions it, I know this isnt really as iconic or intricate as say the Ultros cookies, but sometimes you just want something really easy to bake, that only requires the stuff youre pretty much bound to have at home anyway :) Thats sort of the idea behind these!

I worked in a brigade style kitchen for 5 years man....theres nothing to it after you find your groove. It becomes second nature. ^_^
Plus...you have alot more tools to work with to make it easier. :D
I was in the Bakery for 2 of that 5 years. lol
