i just wanted to know if the performers have actually learned korean dance before. i admire that they are doing korean traditional dance, of course, because not many people know it but it doesn't seem like the style of korean dance. it looks too sharp and not as graceful. because i also learned and performed this dance for many years and seen it.

asian nations have traditions. european nations have traditions. south american nations have tradition. even canada has its own traditions

and what do america have? only traditional food they have is steak. Piece of meat cooked for only few minutes.

so to those who are 'wooh'ing in the background -i assume it's americans-, they don't have any authority to do so.

@SilverChevalier well seeing how this was done at Wheaton College campus in Wheaton Illinois, and Illinois is an American State. I think it's safe to say, yes those are americans in the background sounds. And while some countries do have traditions, that doesn't mean they don't have their own black sheeps that would would do the same thing. May not be common, but possible. And also, not all americans are white. There are some of other ethnic decent. They just happened to be from America.

And we do have traditional American culture- Bluegrass, Jazz (And all the Jazz dances that go along with it), clogging and Square Dancing are American. Saying woo is like saying Opa, or hurray, or yippie, it's not ment to be insulting, but a form of expressing your excitment. I'm not saying I agree with the guy in this video wooing- this is not the type of thing to get all excited like that over...

Why did americans droved n.a. off from their lands and took away their homes? did they tried to conserve n.a. history? also, if it's indeed part of american tradition, do 'you' have any idea about ancient native american tradition? do you know it by your heart? do you parents tell you about it? or have you seen any americans learning traditional dance of n.a.?

@memikell that is typical western way of showing that they feel great - namely, showing that they, as the audience, feel great. They do this everywhere and think it is universal ^^

@memikel I think they're all amateurs not professional dancers. It seems they're all students at Wheaton college and this probably is a small festival for east asian students so I think the people shouting "whoo" things are friends of the dancers they're just enjoying the moment
