it is always quite difficult to get in the right pitch to the pianissimo in 2:24. If only the director would lead in a slower pace, it would have been - in my opinion - better to get to that note. And before that part, if she leads in such a tempo, the colors of the voices, such a romantic phrase "in die illa tremenda lucea eit " cannot be well appreciated. The performance irself is quite nice, I like it. Thanks for posting.
it is two fast... but having performed this on numerous occasions it works better conducted in two so there is no confusion when you get to the 6/8 part...
Well there are some professionals in the ensemble...college music students and faculty in the orchestra. But for the most part, the group could be considered to be comprised of non professional singers. I like to think we did this work some pretty decent justice =)
