@mwillis1000 Seeing as you didnt get a proper answer to this, I'll answer. Celtic was founded in 1888, i think, by Irish workers in Glasgow. Around the same time Rangers was started. Rangers, the club, really only allowed wealthy people and Protestants into the club, where as Celtic allowed anyone in, Catholic, Protestant, Presbyterian or any other. Celtic's Irish roots have led to huge support in Ireland are they are practically just an Irish Club, doing the country proud.
