  • why do we have shuch shit pm

  • yay for maxine

  • A swing to the abc arr err alp... well lets face it they are the same thing anyway

  • lol we kicked her out of that seat 3 years later

F.T.I i saw on 2007 election chaser, the chaser were in there holding up signs that says"cheer" "it makes kerry feel important"

  • lol, I hope she enjoyed it while it lasted.

  • i never realised the aussie parliament was so small in terms of numbers of MPs. Makes the UK one seem bloated at 650 approx. At least that is being cut by 50 though

  • @matt1784 thats just our Federal Parliament, all up if you add all of the possible constituent seats in the country you end up with 824 seats, however they are elected by different methods all over the country

  • @matt1784 When you think about the fact that Britain has something like 43 million more people than Australia, it does make a little more sense

  • is this anything to do with the chaser? HAHA

  • Watching John Howard's concession speech was the happiest moment of my life ... I never thought I would be wanting John Howard back now that we are confronted with the possibility of Abbott being Prime Minister :S

  • I'm not Australian but I'm loving how the crowd literally go nuts when the graphics go on screen hahah

  • I heard only one other sitting PM had lost his seat and the major issue was Industrial Relations. When will these right wingers learn?

  • @SirFinbarr they won't as it is they do have Abbott as their leader

  • >yfw neither party does jack shit to fix the country

  • finally the country woke up, all the lies and deceit, the procrastination, nothing new brought to the table, no policies for the future and he deservedly got turfed out of his own seat and control of the country. People nowe whinging because gillard is trying to implement things that should have been implemented years ago have no idea what it takes to make a country better for the future. It is not about saving money and doing nothing ala johnny howard its about being proactive, do some research

  • Cheers for posting this up. Such memories :)

  • Damn I always wanted to see something like this happen. It's so rare to see a sitting PM lose his seat. Thanks for posting this.

  • yes, and everyone bagging out howard. isn't australia doing better now. rofl.. with gillard fucking up everything she goes near.

  • HAHAHA McKew is NOW DEAD...

SUCH A JOY TO WATCH NOW EH

  • @CaseyJanee Labor is still in power ^_^ Even only just!

  • Ah well, what a waste of three years. What has the government done? Nothing.

Most of those seats gained will be lost again in a couple of weeks.

  • hahahaha! Nothing hurts more than knowing you lost the election and also lost your constituency! His own people booted him out!

  • I remember these moments - "swing to the ABC", Gillard becoming more happily radiant as the night went on, the cheers amongst my mates watching at home, the sensation of a vile poison being lifted from the land. Goodbye to the Rodent, don't fucking come back.

  • it was probably sweet for both realities...labour crossing the threshold and the PM falling. It is a humiliating loss: just asking Kim Campbell (1993) Canada, George Bush in 1992 and Al Gore in 2000. John Mcain almost lost his own state this past 2008. Talk about a close call from embarrassment

  • What terrible coverage...

  • 1:35, when it went past 76 seats and Labor won government. That's why there are cheers.
