This was the first generation iPhone... the backing was mostly silver with a black plastic piece at the bottom. In my opinion, black metal looks much nicer versus the black plastic it comes in now.

Oh no it's like brand new except it's 2 years old it has 1 really small scratch by the headphone port. I've kept it with silicone case every since I had bought it and the only other thing is rhe battery is a little worn out but it will still go for hours on end. One last thing is the service plan is $30 instead of the regular $60 because it's old.
