@LeahMouse lol yeah. I liked Evanescence waaaaaaay in the beginning...but I grew out of them. The kind of music I like is actually japanese hard rock and metal... but I like other genres of music too. :) such as classical and opera.

What is your opinion about Within Temptation? If you have no idea what Within Temptation is it is an symphonic metal band and their music is enchanting yet dark. The lead singer of the band Sharon den Adel has an operatic singing voice =D

It angers me so much when ppl post nasty comments because they disagree with someones 'opinion' or 'preference' of something. We are all individuals and thus are not all going to like or dislike the same things...You had an interesting list...although, I have never heard of the bands you listed in your 'like' part, I mostly like the ones you listed in the other two...lol...I love Disturbed! It is all about Davids voice... :P

@LeahMouse Evanescence's main theme in their songs is about death, depression, loneliness, and broken hearts. I like the group because I like their music style as in sounds and I can relate too most of their songs except the whole broken hearts and death songs. Most of their songs are melancholy but in their new album which is just called Evanescence they have more upbeat songs =D

alice nine. has been my only favorite because, since i first started listening to them, i've never come across an album that i don't like at least 90% of the music, and they also vary enough in style (both musically and visually) for me to feel like i'm not listening to the same song/band over and over :D

But I could assume that at least some goths like them because some of their themes and concepts from previous albums are a bit "gothy". Some of the band members express a liking of goth music, especially Joy Division and Sisters of Mercy. They also have a song (named To the end) based on a William Faulker novel, which as I understand is quite the gothic/dark romantic author.

Yeah, I like several on your dislike list, but I get the impression you just don't care for metal, period. You named A LOT of bands I'm not at all familiar with, so that's cool. I've been looking for some new music lately. Surprised you didn't even touch upon the classic goth bands (Bauhaus, Siouxsie, Joy Division, Cure) in any of the lists, like or dislike. No opinion, or just didn't want to go there? ;^)

We have very similar taste in music. Some bands you dislike I really like, but that's cool. I don't really devote to any one band myself. I latch on to songs more. I don't think there has ever been a band whose work I completely loved or completely hated lol. It's just really what's pleasing to the ear. That's what it always comes down to. Great video Leah :)

@LeahMouse Evanescence's main theme in their songs is about death, depression, loneliness, and broken hearts. I like the group because I like their music style as in sounds and I can relate too most of their songs except the whole broken hearts and death songs. Most of their songs are melancholy but in their new album which is just called Evanescence they have more upbeat songs =D

although for me, i think it's safe to say i've only ever been a fan of ONE band!!
alice nine. has been my only favorite because, since i first started listening to them, i've never come across an album that i don't like at least 90% of the music, and they also vary enough in style (both musically and visually) for me to feel like i'm not listening to the same song/band over and over :D

I feel the same way pretty much XD Genre means NOTHING to me. I don't care about what a band's classified as. I need to listen to more music though, I'm nearly sick of all the music I have (on my ipod, from CDs [I will NOT buy from iTunes. Not again. Ever.]).
I love Rammstein so much :D I'm going to see them in April! Very much excitement.
But, ahaha I love System of a Down :P One of my favourites, maybe a lot due to memories. But as is often said to each their own ^-^

ive always been searching for music with the certain feel i like.some bands have it in 90% of their music and i will listen to the band. but certain songs from bands i dont listen to have it. but i cant stand people who say they listen to everything but really dont becuase they think it makes them more individual i guess. but i cant say i listen to everything what do i listen to then, well i listen to shawn music i guess. i do like two of the bands on your bands you dont like >,< but its cool.

@moshafreak616 About, My Chemical Romance, well that's your opinion. But I could assume that at least some goths like them because some of their themes and concepts from previous albums are a bit "gothy". Some of the band members express a liking of goth music, especially Joy Division and Sisters of Mercy. They also have a song (named To the end) based on a William Faulker novel, which as I understand is quite the gothic/dark romantic author.

Yeah, I like several on your dislike list, but I get the impression you just don't care for metal, period. You named A LOT of bands I'm not at all familiar with, so that's cool. I've been looking for some new music lately. Surprised you didn't even touch upon the classic goth bands (Bauhaus, Siouxsie, Joy Division, Cure) in any of the lists, like or dislike. No opinion, or just didn't want to go there? ;^)
Btw, don't think I've ever listened to Slipknot. Their image discourages my interest.

The dislike list though was all the stuff I do like, but hey everyone has their own preference. Nothing wrong with that, I have to ask, do you like Nirvana? I don't think you listed them, and to be honest, I do like them.

We have very similar taste in music. Some bands you dislike I really like, but that's cool. I don't really devote to any one band myself. I latch on to songs more. I don't think there has ever been a band whose work I completely loved or completely hated lol. It's just really what's pleasing to the ear. That's what it always comes down to. Great video Leah :)
