Last week, I was listening to the African Cora and found myself in the midst of those ravishing sounds that look much similar than the one conveyed by this specific Harp.
excellent transcription and interpretation, (theorbo player). did you made the transcription from Saizenay ms. ? or 1716 mise en partition by de Visée?
To be honest I can't remember exactly what the sources are... except to say its a combination of the treble/bass edition with a few bits and pieces borrowed from the theorbo/lute tabs.... sorry I'm not able to be more helpful!
Loved the trills. Beautiful interpretation of this piece. I like the sound of this form of harp. It reminds me of the paraguayan and venezuelan harp music I listened to as a child. Not in the form of composition but in the timbre of the instrument.
I guess guitar is just a more practical (transportable) version of the harp
I'd like to know more about real pieces composed for the harp cause obviously Wagner and Mahler didn't quite well understood the posibilities of the instrument!!
I play this suite on the theorbo, and I love this arrangement and performance. Thanks!

the tab is from the saizenay ms. (1699)
thetreble/ bass ed. is from robert de visée mis en partitioon (1716).

There are many more DeVisee tablatures than just Saizenay, though.
