In the Navy, they taught us to call the guy's name twice, then if not, grab the guy's foot, then step back. On the ship, I'd typically hear the guy's footsteps coming down the ladder to the berthing space, and as he stepped up to take a breath, I'd say "I'm awake, carry on."
MasterChief0000117 all services are on the same pay-grade no one service makes more than the other...the Army does get newer/better equipment sometimes. And it really just depends on how long youj have been out of the service on whether or not you have to go to basic in the Army, yes the Army will have to go to USMC and Navy boot mainly because the rank system is worded a bit different especially in going to the Navy

There is too such a thing as a "former Marine". The term is acceptable for Marines who have been honorably discharged the the Corps and joins another branch so the video title is correct. "Ex-Marine" would not be an acceptable term however. There are plenty of Marines who join the Army afterwards. I know very few Marines who reenlist in the Corps. It's the same throughout the Corps. Many are veterans who feel they don't get enough support from the Corps and the Army takes better care of them.
@aoj2108 I renlisted fo two years after my first four. I had already served two tours I couldnt imagine serving with the army after being in the corp.
When I was Active Duty USMC 1991-1995 the US Army was actively recruiting Marine NCOs to join the Army and become Warrant Officers to fly their helos. I am also like Browning50... I nearly always know when people are around when I am sleeping. I actually tell people NOT to try to be quiet, because if they do surprise me they are likely to get hit. There is too such a thing as a "former Marine". The term is acceptable for Marines who have been honorably discharged the the Corps and joins another branch so the video title is correct. "Ex-Marine" would not be an acceptable term however. There are plenty of Marines who join the Army afterwards. I know very few Marines who reenlist in the Corps. It's the same throughout the Corps. Many are veterans who feel they don't get enough support from the Corps and the Army takes better care of them.

When I was Active Duty USMC 1991-1995 the US Army was actively recruiting Marine NCOs to join the Army and become Warrant Officers to fly their helos. I am also like Browning50... I nearly always know when people are around when I am sleeping. I actually tell people NOT to try to be quiet, because if they do surprise me they are likely to get hit. as far as former Marines in the Army... I know plenty of guys. I know one that is my NCO. He's been in for about 38 years.

@lockedup251 well i didnt say its better because its easier but i do know a highly ranked army soldier who was in the marines before and said that the army is way better than the marines i also know a staff sergent and recruiter who talks to guys when they are leaving the service and all the guys from the army loved it and most of the marines hated it.
