There never was. there will be in many years in the future but right now the ONLY reason gas prices are going up is due to the same practice the Gas companies used when bush went into Iraq, the news. They put the spin out there in their bought media that because we were fighting a country who had oil to sell that it limited our resources. Look it up, they are doing it again. Even the reserve hasn't been touched.

Good point Dana. Because there wasn't a no drilling policy during the Bush Admin and gas was well over $4.00 a gallon when you were in the White House. Then they released the info and it was all due to speculation. So, they lied. Oil really wasn't $150.00 or $200 a barrel. It was pure speculation on the market and the oil companies got mega rich and didn't pay taxes. Call Obama what you want but Dana is detractor of truth and her influence on FOX News is exactly the kind of BS you would expect.

Oil prices have always been based on "speculation". It increased under Bush due to increased hurricane activity in the Gulf. All it took was the mere mention of opening up more domestic drilling. It's increasing now due to the middle east & Obama's pussy policies.

And by the way, oil companies pay an exuberant amount of taxes. In fact, in many years, the Govt rakes in more per gallon of gas than an oil company profits.
