@Sloppysquirly Let your heavies out is one of the two tracks on "There's No 666" that only features Zach, Spencer, and Aaron(on vox). The other one is Anarchists Just wanna have fun.  All the other tracks on that album are the 5 peice. Some people really need to start understanding the difference.

@18jonnyboy18 its Hello Great Architects of the Universe, and the guitar is odd not because of the extended fretboard but the extended nature of the body. They make a lot of custom basses in the same way

i don't know why i read comments like.. sure this SOUNDS all over the place but it isn't .. durp! i don't think it makes you an elitist to be able to listen to this, the songs are tight and easy to follow. they're not predictable but they don't sound messy or 'fucked up'.

Maybe the most mind boggling is that the guys fucking know what they're doing. It sounds like a freaking mess, but every beat is absolutely in sync. Hope I find a better audio to try to understand this. By the posts here, they seem to have more than two players today... Must be an assault!

People said the same thing about The Velvet Underground in the 60's. You can't really hear the subtleties with this shitty sound quality. Try listening to any one of the other videos of the actually band Hella, which this isn't, this is just Zach Hill and Mick Barr, NOT Hella.This is supposed to invoke feelings of confusion and chaos and it's supposed to be hard to follow and sound repetitive.that's the point I'd like to see you play drums with that amount of intensity for more than 5 seconds.

to be fair, this IS Hella... this is how Hella started. Their newer music is a five piece, with vocals and whatnot, but their earliest stuff was just these two and it is amazing stuff. Not discounting their new stuff, but just to clarify on your point. :)
