  • fun

  • xD fail and now?

  • Mad cash! Hey Carlos Slim, don't spill your cooler.

  • Is this a new route for Amtrak? j/k where is this line and what's the history behind it? Thanks for posting.

  • I think we could use that at our railroad for the west end. Hasn't seen a locomotive in years

  • 0:18 there's a stick on the left track.

  • HOBOS

  • THAT'S the true spirit of railfanning!!!

  • looks like a load of fun. but as a rule of thumb, i think you should avoid tracks if they have a foot of air between ties and dirt.

  • there was this

  • looked like they ate shit!

  • lol that looks fun and funny as shit!

  • GET THE TOY MOTORCYCLE WE MUST CONTINUE OUR JOURNEY!!!!!!!!

  • man those r some old tracks

  • ahhh nothing like a tetnus shot

  • "Well I guess you could say... They were on a Railway to the Danger Zone!"

    YYYEEEEEEAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHH

  • Somebody need to check out those cross ties for date nails. They are worth a buck or so each. More if in the 'teens. Pry' 'em out w/a large screwdriver using a ballast rock (gravel) for a fulcrum.

  • Wonderful fun I wish I'd have been there.

I hope you got the car back on track.

  • Fail

  • ami´s... dümmer als´n toast mit fettarmer butter.... -.-

  • Where's your Form 705?

Oh, and the trainmaster wants the crew to take a drug test!

    heh heh

  • wicked derailment,,,any injuries???????

  • Man, what happened to those tracks???? I hope Trains don't use that stretch!!!

  • that looks like fun......Too bad they took out most of the abandoned rails around here.......there are still some trestles left ,even tho the track is gone.....traced them with Google earth........where were the Locos and abandon tracks you were on?

  • do you guys know what railroad own that i want to find it out

  • the link in the description does not work.

  • the website does not seem to work.

  • why do a risk assessment what could possibly go wrong LOL.';-)

  • OMG that is so cool. what tracks are those?

  • WIDE GAGE! Call the track department. Looks like your track geometry is a little off.

  • great looking spot, that is quite the contraption they are riding on...

  • where is this?

  • i like how everyones being an asshole trying to make you guys look like idiots when your clearly laughing having a good time. it's obvious your not trying to get anything accomplished by this. it's sad that everyone needs to come on youtube talk shit about other peoples videos to make themselves feel smart when they don't even have enough balls to post they're own.

  • I checked out your webpage with the whole story, VERY cool... great idea.

  • Get off the tracks fast! the 4:05 Express is about to come....

  • everyone was having fun until johnny lost a eye! lol

  • where is this line? looks good

  • what are you riding on?? it looks like it is homemade

  • Is this line abandoned?

  • Where is this at?

  • I WANT ONE OF THOSE LOL WHATSS IT TOP SPEED? (I WANNA TO RACE TRAINS XD)

  • you kooks! wow thats a hoot!

  • UM... on detailed inspection SUH... You had crap on the tracks & were derailed on the RHS front... by said "material" Namely a small thick branch (weed stalk) at 0-15 That LIFTED your rim & it neatly rolled OFF to the right Immediately dumping U all...

  • Ahah ... looks like you made that - with a RIGID frame? Or... (seeing as how the wheels actually HAD enough meat on the treads... DID you by any chance >MAKE> the rim to rim "inner gauage - EXACTLY the same as the track.. because If you did... YOU found the answer(WHY all railways have 1/4" narrower "rim to rim" distance than rail to rail.

  • dumb idiotic fools -_-

  • That IS the coolest thing ever. I made bicycle version when I lived in Vermont as there are loads of abandoned rail up there. What's your top speed?

  • that was cool

  • T^hese fools were lucky they did not derail on the washout. Maybe they can work on winning a Darwin award next time.

  • the track looks like its gona break lol

  • is very funny

  • Cool! This really isn't very far from me! Must be former Southern Pacific trackage.

  • what is that? did you buy it or was it home made? thats just funny seeing what you are riding on :D

  • I don't understand all the snotty remarks. This looks kinda fun.

  • where is this god damnit

  • redneck

  • en este video las vias salen en mal estado

  • Okay, file this under stupid!

  • Nice, someone could have died.

Wouldn't have been as funny if someone would have got pinched, or crushed.

  • where is this

  • Derailment was here

    Google earth: 38.233001,-122.43235

  • oh no better call the NTSB for a full investigation!! going to need to be drug and alcahol tested...lol

  • lol I can hear it now, hahahaha yeah. *derails* hahahahaha oh Shit

  • lmao well i guess thats wot happens when you do crazy stuff like that!

  • i agree kjry1

  • Now how are they going to get to work?

  • I bet that's what their local welfare office has been trying to figure out for years.

  • is that your rail car? or did you just find it somewhere? it's pretty awesome!

  • it isnt streach of rail, its streach of track

  • It's neither; the word you seek is stretch.

  • douche

  • id put flanges on thewheels to stay on the track

  • hey were is this at please

  • Is/Was that a main line?

  • Why did the "driver" (the one holding the stick in front) pull on the stick hard to the right? Is that perhaps why you "derailed"? I want to build something like that for myself, but I'm going to try putting real (lightweight) train wheels on an old quad with the front steering locked in place. Looks like fun!

  • morons

  • Hey where do you go to sign up for a ride like this? I think it would be so cool.

  • Now how do you get home?

  • Jesus, those wheels have hardly any flange....what are they from?

  • send a dash 9 up there to pull 'em out :)

  • HAHA ya that would be funny :)

  • @TheGondorian hahaah you mean send one up there to meet its doom!!

  • @TheGondorian Dash 9???? Send the Challenger.

  • @tartopfan Challener????? Send Big Boy.

  • maybe use ur 4 wheeler to pull u back home

  • how old are those tracks? damn rusty as hell huh

  • ho ho ho

  • jajajaja

    muy bueno

    saludos desde españa

  • Rails hanging in mid air, Sleepers hanging on one rail.

If you would go along those sorts of rails. your asking for trouble.

  • Yeah but of course that's half the funj....

  • Yeah. I guess it is fun when stuff derails.

  • When stuff derails and its completely expected, and when we're in such a beautiful spot, and when its so completely simple to fix... yes, absolutely, its fun when stuff derails.

  • And in point of fact, they derailed because of a stick on the track. That train can't weigh more than a few hundred pounds, you can hear someone saying "well, I guess we have to watch for stick now too" on the video. The wheels are so wide that it would take more than a little bit of wide gauge to derail it.

  • @wrybread Until someone falls off and ends up underneath while it's still sliding forwards... Got it ;)

  • where is this?

  • what the hell is that contraption?

  • is called a railbike

  • Good video, you have to watch out for wide gage it will derail you every time. lol.

    Len.

  • ouch!

  • Looks like any typical Rock Island track lol. Which most now are ironically owned by UP the derailment kings.

  • SO WHAT ARE YOU SAYING????

  • That UP doesnt care about History

  • My, my, my. Looks like you had a Union Paciffic moment!

  • doesnt chicken shit xpress have the most derailments?

  • No. They've seemed to have cleaned up their act. U.P. doesn't even try.

  • o very good. they didnt seem to clean up their act when it comes to people trespassing on rr property ^_^. all their workers are super nice and very helpful for riders.

  • They don't try? That's odd you say that. According to the latest financials they were the most profitable railroad operating in North America in 2008.

  • ...Nice :P

  • Corrosion had no effect. Is only a tiny "skin" of rust.

    But why did it derail?

Using something other than real flanged wheels?

    Gauge looked consistant and proper.

  • looks like shit load of fun to me good to see ya got the esky on board

  • i was wondering what that thing you were riding was

  • are yu joking me? they arent dangerous, there are no more trains there and it would take a hell of alot longer to corrode thos rails...no harm done here. Learn more about trains befor commenting again.

  • Where exactly is this?

  • Sonoma County, california

  • I want One now it looks so cool u shud go into mass production

  • That is so cool! Is that a little 80cc quad you're using to power the cart?

  • Longer videos!! You're doing what I fantisized about doing 40 years ago. Go for it, and make it a good long trip. That is so cool. I envy every one of ya!

  • why the hell were you riding on fuckin abandonned tracks?!

  • that abandoned track is definitely the only thing worth seeing.

  • xD......

  • that looks like fun

  • what is that thing you're riding on called? That's cool.

  • retares your not suppose to go on a rusty wreck RR(RailRoad)thats how you had a derailing

  • Thanks for clearing that up.

  • lol

  • @wrybread Clearing WHAT UP? (looks to me - like you DIDN"T WALKCHECK your track... Something even big railways do... WALK CHECK (thats why they'r called MAINTENANCE TROLLEY's the world over... to MAINTAIN the track & to clear debris .(such as your stuff.- at 0-15 that derailed you)

  • @Shadesdeath Wow, and here I thought that they did it on purpose... Stupid me... Come on man, you seriously can't think that they rode those rails unaware of their condition??

  • Looks like typical American track to me

  • its fking abandoned sherlock

  • Doh! Being a train driver by profession I didn't know that. Ever heard of irony? (and it's not something you make rails out of - not even american ones).

  • cool what do you drive and who do you drive for.

  • 159 diesels for South West Trains in England. Type in 159 SWT in Google images. Only 90mph max but they're nice to drive.

  • I WANT ONE!!! Way Cool dude!

  • In real railroad terms.. when you derail like that, its called a wide-gauge.. the tracks wont fit the wheels.. this is pretty neat.. I know a few lines myself that havent been used in decades I would like to take one of those one!!

  • where is this?? thats cool

  • track has been washed out for years.

  • i want that train car

  • this is wack
