it's a custom mIOS which will enable you to play backup gamecube games. make sure your preloader is set to allow region free gamecube games!

in this particular video, disc channel loading is done through installing something known as cIOSCORP (it's now known as DARK CORP) it is a series of custom IOS files which overwrite the original ones enableing the wii to read copied games directly without any middle disc loader.

however, i think that this is a less compatible way than USB loading/ NEOgamma, as the game will only load the IOS it thinks it should load through which COULD cause problems.

unfortunately not, the gamecube mode does not have USB functionallity so the USB ports cannot be acessed when plaing gamecube games.

so in theory you could load a game but it would just black screen or crash completely. but no, it wouldnt work (yet)

when you use WBFS format for wi games, it removes the update partition from the game when you put it on your hard drive, it also removes and scrap jumbled up data and leave games small so you can fit more on your hard drive.

new super mario bros wii is only 300MB using this method!

thats because preloader doesnt enable you to play copied game. it merely patches the system menu to do tings it wouldnt usually.

E.G play region free channels, games and such, enable you to move the disc channel around and disable the wii menu background music. and my favorite is to copy game saves that are usually blocked from being copied

do you have any idea why the PAL games on snes9x are stretched to full-screen like the NTSC games? for accurate emulation surely there should be a mode to retain PAL squashed video as it was back in the day. they do run about 17.5% slower than the NTSC games though, so snes9x has that right.

genplus retains the screen borders for pal games giving it the true retro squashed PAL look, but snes9x doesn't.

You seem a little vague, is the HDD hacked so channels saved on it turn up in the 'SD Channels' menu, or is it just a big SD card? OR have you linked USB Loader games with channels on your SD card?

Also, have you got a Wii made before the boot1 fix by Nintendo? I can't seem to install preloader on mine. BootMii boot2 doesn't work either, have to use it as an IOS.

prealoader should work on any wii no matter what SN or boot1 status... dunno what ur problem is there :S if you're using 0.29 version try repetedly pressing 1 for about 20 seconds and it will load. (it's passworded and 1 is the password lol)

also, the SD Menu has just got channels i created for games which load games from a USB HDD which is plugged in. if you load a channel and the game chosen is present on the HDD it'll load the game from the HDD :)

use wad unpacker to unpack a wad file.

replace the 0000000.app with opening.bnr from a wii ISO

open 0000001.app with a hew editor and find the word 'subsystem' in a text string then scroll up a little and change the 6 digit game id to the game you want to load.

then pack the wad again

then use injectuwad (i think) through command prompt to change the save ID and region of the channel you're making.

easy :P

im really stuck with this i just got a wii and it was already 4.0e ive got homebrew on it but all the cISO files i try and put on it come back error ret -1 or 2210 and thats as far as i can get with it, i have loaded backup loader from homebrew brouser but it wont run any downloaded game without the cISO can anyone help?

first it's cIOS.

and SMW is right, you cant download cIOS through wii on firmware 4.0 because there are no vulnerable IOS to install it on. (no IOS with the trucha bug)

to do it, you have to downgrade just one IOS (use comex DVD installer to downgrade IOS35)

then load wad manager 1.4, say use IOS35 (because it now has the trucha bug) and install a .wad of the cIOS you are trying to download. that will work :)

and SMW dont talk shit. you dont have to downgrade at all. 4.0 is better anyways.

you use the homebrew channel (search google) to install things called cIOS (custom input output subsystem) which will allow the running of many features not made available in the wii's original IOS files.

you just need to install cIOS_r9 from the homebrew channel and then run USB Loader from the homebrew channel. although you only need to use the cIOS installer once :)

used wii iso dumper, which runs through your wii. whatever game you have in your wii, you can send it over a wireless network to a PC in your home in about 2-4 hours lol

either that, or use bit-torrents. they're illegal, but you can get games that you and your friends dont own lol
