40% more in taxes is completely untrue and has no basis in reality. The President said he will not sign health care bill that adds a dime to the national deficit. The skyrocketing costs of health care due to insurance company abuse is causing our country to go bankrupt. Small businesses are continually taking health insurance away from employees because they can't afford the skyrocketing costs. Millions of Americans are losing health insurance daily and are going bankrupt, suffering and dying.
If you're implying that not adding a dime to the national deficit = no increase in taxes, you need to wake up. Congress can legislate a $2 billion program and increase taxes by $2 billion without adding to the national deficit. The cost of health care and health insurance is a huge problem, but there are ways to get at the problem without turning the problem over to the government.
True you don't, but you'll have to pay up to 40% more in taxes when the bill goes through, and you would pay much much more through taxes then through insurance.

Also, Govt. is deciding in their bill all the rules, what is allowed, what is not for both the Patient and the Doctor just like everything else they run. Forced enrollment to anything is unconstitutional and therefore illegal. We live in a free country remember.

I was charged $800 in penalties in April's taxes because I didn't want to pay another bill in the amount of a mortgage in a healthcare system that supports illegal aliens and those that wish to ride the system. I am not racist or un American, I pay my fair share of taxes and this healthcare is unconstitutional and infringes on my rights as an American citizen. If Ron Paul runs this year, he has my vote, make yourself heard!
This is probably a lousy idea, yet I recommend you pay in just enough taxes so that you do not have to file on April 15th and therefore not have to deal with the Health Care Issue. At this point with all of the Legalized Plunder that Our 44th President implements, It is our duty as U.S. Citizens to defy in all honorable ways possible. Starve the Govt., donate what was your taxes would have been by writing a check to the schools, or food programs, or town road repair, whatever.
You are allowed so much for donations. If I overpaid taxes to the govt they would not return my extra $. Look at Cash for Clunkers, those dealerships are out all of that money because the govt doesnt have it. I dont trust this govt as far as i can throw it.
Mandatory Health Care Via State or Govt. is a intrusion into my individual & my children's individual sovereignty. Health Care is a Very Private Family Matter & is a major invasion of our privacy. Privacy is a right & is sacred. No one can enter our home unless criminal activity is detected or a crime has been committed, but in the name of Health Care Reform, every aspect of our private health information can be accessed & therefore violated. It's Criminal, It's Illegal, It's Unconstitutional.
You don't run your own healthcare, private companies do and they are very eager to sell your information as they are profit motivated. If you are so worried about invasion of privacy, why not look into the warrant less surveillance enacted by republicans when they were in charge?
Futhermore, this bill is not intended to allow for gov't takeover of healthcare, what in the bill makes you think it is trying to do so?
If I recall correctly " affordable health care to every man, woman and child" was the social necessity and in the interest of the common good. The priority that voted for Mr. Barak Obama.
What we need is flat-rate no-limit primary care, it doesn't involve the government or insurance and everyone will agree on it. Just google it. It's the best solution where the doctors and patients alone are in charge to make the right decisions without insurance OR government interference.

We don't need a new system run by government and at an immense cost; we just need to tweak what we now have.
