  • I'm from Icelanddd :D WEEEE :D

I love iceland and uhhh hahahaha i say NO To pay this sh*t :)

  • very funny

  • Dear Holland and UK,

    How are things ?

    regards,

    Iceland

  • @reykjavik79 LOL I can't wait till the UK rips iceland apart.

  • @jayc342009

UK cant rip a wet paper bag., -enjoy being raped by sandmonkey's every day, you deserve that while gulping down your pathetic tea n' cawk. :)

  • @reykjavik79 wow i'm so offended mate, lol?

  • Our monetary system is based on credit or debt, and without constantly continuing issuance of debt, the whole thing falls apart. Our system of ‘fractional reserve banking’ gives commercial banks a licence to literally create money out of thin air – and then charge interest on the money they created. Fractional reserve banking is the cause of spiralling debt.

The biggest public campaign has started to abolish fractional reserve system. Visit POSITIVE MONEY website and support the campaign.

  • I am from the UK, if you pay back one penny of this debt you are fools.

  • Dont pay the debt, The UK are foul liars and crooks. This money will pay for the elite's wages and prop up their pension funds and bonuses. Our financial hub is all false mortgages, loans and credir cards, that are not protected or backed by anything for the last 10 years. Spend it on your families and dont pay the money. The elite are all rapists and treat the public like pheasants. A CORRUPT COUNTRY THAT HAVE LIED ON THE WORLD PLATFORM.

  • QWell, we baled out the bakns in the Uk, why should the British taxpayers pay for Iceland?

Sure the consequences are clear: Iceland will pay even more (uit will go to court)

2- No one will trust them from now on (next time, they're on their own)

3- They can forget becoming member of thje EU

4- Their international reputation is lost

  • @Ade76

    1. Iceland has never denied paying anything, but first there has to be a legal requirement to do so, see you in court

    2. Yeah, sure, no one will trust us. Also, funny you should say next time we're on our own, Britain and Holland have been playing hardball since DAY 1, and have made it quite clear they don't intend to be our buddies.

    3. Fuck the EU, we don't want it.

    4. Again with this, why not? We pay all our debts. We just don't pay 'just because' due to pressure from bigger countries.

  • @Ade76 Correction: The consequences are NOT clear. There are many possible outcomes when it comes to the courts. The Icelandic people might not even have to pay a single pound. And as for the "trust-issue", tell that to all the companies and nations that are trading with Icelandic industries and enterprises on a daily basis.

Oh, and nobody over here cares about the EU and people across the world are actually praising us for blowing Icesave out of the water.

    Do your homework next time.

  • THE VIKINGS WILL PREVAIL!!!!!

  • The referendum was NOT about paying or not paying! it was about a contrakt, Iceland has said its gonna honour its obligations!.

And Britain and Netherland will get 90% of the dept in a year and alot this summer.

  • Wow... I'm Icelandic and the only thing thats true there is the viking stuff xD

  • lol it looks like sims xD

  • haha this is the best video ever. im icelandic and i totally voted no. why should we have to pay a debt for some greedy rich bastards that mostly ruined our country?

  • >>people implying this is japanese..

    It's Chinese :S

  • nice video hahahah, I am not paying for this Iceslave :)

  • I love japanese people :)

  • kúka means poo in icelandic

  • ÁFRAM ISLAND!

  • ICELAND, FUCK YEAH!!

  • i voted yes because its more profitable as it is now, instead of paying extra money after british win us in court...

  • The whole population of Iceland supports repayment of these Icesave deposits!! We just refuse to accept, that the Icelandic State Treasury guarantees deposits in a foreign brance of a privately owned bank.

Repayment of this money will, in the coming months, be covered by the assets of the fallen Landsbanki. We urge the British and Dutch authorities to go after the white-nosed bankrobbers. Maybe the Dutch nation is responsible for selling Narcotics which cause people to loose their minds?

  • haha icelandic people don't Act like japanese people!! (Competently Barstards!!)

  • I have only thing to say to the British , Come get us!.We have beaten you 4 times in a war happy to do it again

  • @orgrimmur and that only between 1900 and 2011 we have been kickin UK's arse for the last 1000 years

  • these retards are so retarded, they will get theyre money back

  • I cant forget the first day when I heard about Icesave. I was told that a huge corporation called "Icesave" had gone bankrupt and I was going to pay up their dept for the next 30 years. All I could think about was, "what the fuck is Icesave?". However I voted "Yes" on the 9th. of April, even though its ridicules that Icelandic citizens are forced to pay dept of some greedy bastards.

  • @shryce well yea, we have lots of fish, lamb and water. Plus, there are energy sources like the waterfalls and geysers that could be ruined and used - but trust me that won't be a easy thing doing and will probably not happen. This has been a debate topic for centuries and fact is there are just so many people who don't want Icelands breathtaking monuments to be destroyed for money reasons. We don't have much money, if that's what you're asking about and we're sure as hell not going to give up

  • Awesome video.

  • By voting 'No' in the referendum it will only make things worse for Iceland not better. They cannot possibly hope to win in a court case and so all this will do is make the international market view the country in a negative way.

  • @CommanderZx2 That is not given, experts are split on the issue. It is true, the international markets don't like anything like this. How ever, normal people are tired of the endless violation and bailouts and it is about time we start saying no to ALL of this corruption.

  • @CommanderZx2 I'm not sure if you're in tune with what's really going on over here...

  • Savers have already been paid to 100.000 euro, so saying the savers lost this amount is not entirely correct, Landsbankinn had full insurance in Holland and Britain as it did in Iceland, the depositor insurance scheme of these 3 countries along with the old Landsbankinn properties should pay for these losses, not the Icelandic public, this is what it is all about, the Icelandic public was refusing a state guarantee on this debt and its interests.

  • The Icesave dispute is not over if we are going to pay for the debts. Britain is going to get 9 billion US dollars this year. The dispute is over interests and extras.

  • That's why mums go to Iceland.

  • Imma pack me bags and move up there soon.

  • Iceland doesn't take crap from anyone

  • @risbolla especially britain

  • Why would a country be responsible for its huge corporations? They are so rich and greedy they should pay for themselves.

  • @lodevijk That's a huge debating point in international law: "Is a country responsible for its corporations?".

  • @595o its not just a debating point its a matter of reasoning..... is it moraly right to bankrupt and send all of icelands children to poverty over something they had no control over ? Its like debating child molesting to me FUCK BRITAIN.. WAR MONGERING WAR MACHINE fuck YOU !!! britains pepaol should stand up and revolt against its corrupt goverment.

  • @lodevijk

The greedy bastards actually can but they hide their possessions and protect their shares.

  • We're considering invading Iceland but we're not sure if there's anything to pillage there.

  • @Shryce come on over... well fight your army to the last breath.. THIS IS THE LAST PLACE WITH A DIRECT DOCUMENTED FAMILY LINE TO THE VIKINGS..... We Roll As iceland rolled a thousend years ago Fuck BRITAIN!!!!! WITH PASSION !!! WE TOOK ALL YOUR PRETTY LADYS UGLY FUCKS HAHA ;)

  • @icemilf

Now now now, time to take your easy pill... go on... swallow it.

And when your spaceship lands back on earth, check my profile and see that I'm not British.

But you're right about them being ugly fucks hahaha.

  • @Shryce youre right im a little over exited.. i got nothing against british pepaol in general though!! haha

  • @Shryce We have fresh water and fish. That's about it.

  • @YourAverageJoey

How about them geisers... they any good ? Maybe build some spa's around them...

Any pretty ladies in Iceland ? We Dutch do slavery really well. We've got years of experience.

    There's gotta be something marketable...

  • @Shryce Well, geisers mean we have clean power, there's also a buncha pretty waterfalls you could ruin for more power.

I dunno, Iceland's pretty worthless and most people there are pretty vapid cunts. I'm not saying I wouldn't wanna be under UK or Dutch rule, I just don't think there's profit in you coming here.

  • @Shryce Suuure you are.

  • "Hell Nei." Brilliant!

  • @TORREY333 actually in Sweden kids under the age of 16 get free lunch in school

  • @TheMcgreary Who do you think pays for that so-called "free lunch"? The Swedish TAXPAYERS, the tooth fairy is NOT paying for it :)

  • @TORREY333 yeah, but that doesn't mean i can't enjoy a free lunch

PS: Why are you so angry there is not a need to be hostile.

  • @TheMcgreary Enjoy, just remember it is NOT free. If I was hostile, you would know it :)

  • Good.

  • Soon to be the USA....

  • @Reyrocksall Not really, if something like that happened here, we cover the banks' asses with no questions asked.

  • Why should they have to pay them back? They should have known the risk in handing over their money to them, and if they were too lazy to do any research before they did then that's their own fault. They took a gamble and lost, and now they're being sore losers and expect to get out of this without having to face consequences. I vote no as well.

  • @jsee12953 It's actually the companies' fault. It hid the risks and bullshitted the market until it's collapse.

So for me, Iceland shouldn't have to pay them back, those who were leading the companies should.

  • @TheIr0nMike So a retarded costumer who can smell bull-shit is in no way responsible for failing for something that was little more than a ponsi scheme?

  • @nerdycub Not when the people at the center of the ponsi scheme go out of their way to make sure that no one would know and no one would challenge them.

  • @TheIr0nMike So let me get this straight. These chumps were too stupid to notice this before they signed up. Then AFTER they gave Icesave their money and Icesave started acting like scam artists they STILL didn't do anything about it.

No they are victims of their own stupidity and wholly responsible for their own monetary losses.

  • @nerdycub I would just like for you to tell me how they would no this.

  • @TheIr0nMike 5.2% interest rate would be an immediate red flag. If a bank is giving over 3% interest then it is either a) ripping you off or b) making tons of profit to justify the interest rates.

then 2ndly I would check to see what insurances it had. Icesave had none. Then it invested HEAVILY without profits to justify the investments in 3rd world tax havens.

These people were idiots plan and simple. What happened to them was self-inflicted.

  • @nerdycub Landsbanki (the bank behind this) "showed" profits to justify the interest. By EU standards, Iceland's banks were under a proper insurance policy.

My next question is do you know how this situation came to be? I mean, do you know why it is this happened?

  • @TheIr0nMike Yes.

  • @nerdycub So then you should know that Icesave was not a scam itself, but it was collateral damage to Iceland's financial crash. Since the crash was a direct result of banks recklessly risking their assets, those who ran the banks at the the time should be the ones who pay for the losses.

  • @TheIr0nMike Icesave not a scam? Phawhahaha.

  • @TheIr0nMike out of business. Now my third point. They didn't do this for one single quarter. They have been lying about their profits since Q3 of 2005, almost 3 whole years before the market crash.

This was, for all intents and purposes a ponsi scheme. A bad one, they didn't just lie about how much they made they gave the world proof about their lying voluntarily.

So this goes back to my original post. No those people where idiots to put money in that bank. I have no sympathies for them.

  • @nerdycub I'm still confused as to how the leaders of a company, who essentially stole from their customers and caused a massive financial collapse, should not be held liable for doing so. What's more confusing is that you would have been able to pretty much figure the whole thing out knowing only the interest rate and their insurance. Especially considering that most economic and financial advisers praised Iceland's economy and leading banks barely a year before it's revealed to be a giant lie.

  • @TheIr0nMike because bankruptcy erases all debts/ put you into a repayment plan and releases a majority of your debt. Hooray for bankruptcy.

Also corporations can be held liable, individuals cannot. Hooray corporations. Too bad it didn't happen in the US, we have piercing the corporate veil lol

  • @DStrike0083 Right, I forgot that corporations allowed it so that cunt stains can fuck as many people as they want without consequences. How silly of me.

  • @TheIr0nMike exactly, now you get it.

  • @TheIr0nMike Did you read the two other posts below because I explain it all in great detail.

  • @nerdycub Ok heres the deal. They did "Show" their profits but when you post profits you also have to show how you got the profits. There in lies the problem. Lets take Q2 of 2007. They posted 187 million in profits, however they also published HOW they got their money and it didn't add up. See the HOW only added up to 23 million not 187 million. Another thing they have to publish are their expenses. Icesave in q2 of 2007 and 18.3 million in expenses.

  • @nerdycub Now not only did they lie on their posted profits, their profit margins were also way off (profits vs. cost). This is the biggest red flag in a financial scam. Secondly their profit margins were simply too low to justify putting your money in. When profit margins fall below a certain % (changes on the compan) you have somthing called an "unjustifiable profit". That's when people are working to hard for to little. an unjustifiable profit is the biggest red flag that a business is going,

  • @TheIr0nMike Well either way the taxpayers shouldn't have to pay anything. Either the morons don't get their money back, or they do but it comes from the people who scammed them, not from the people of Iceland.

  • @jsee12953 Exactly.

  • not like they can pay back any money -_-

waste of time really as it wouldn't even go back into the country either

  • KARMAS A BITCH
