Dudley IS black. His character was inspired by British fighter Chris Eubank, who is black as well. Also, Dudley's hair is straight because his look and style is vintage/classic. Many black men in earlier parts of the twentieth century straightened their hair. Don't believe me? Then go look up early pictures of Joe Louis or Sugar Ray Robinson.
