In addition the romans build cities streets and impressive buildings for their Times while the British just conquered, made slaves, and took all resources! They just did a little for their colonies.
This is what I miss in our time. Back then people still had a very strong connection with their culture and made build beautiful buildings. It's sad that we have lost that.

But there were just as many issues back then in their context. American History for example is very great and is a strong nation and people 1000 years from now probably will say the same thing.
