  • Yup! Under the KoRn influence! :)

  • I can hear some KoRn in this :)

  • This has a Nine Inch Nails feel to it. More organic though.

  • I LOVED old school Incubus. Alex Katunich really brought the funk with some of the most SICK bass lines I've ever heard. He and Mike (guitar) are seriously underrated musicians. But yeah, they may have changed bassists, Hell, they even changed STYLES completely with the new album.. but I will always love them and be a dedicated fan. :) Don't worry Incubus, I've got your back... AND a ticket to your Thursday night concert in Dallas. :D <3

  • @VampireMonkey44 AMEN BROTHER!

  • funk metal yeahhhhhhh

  • i guess brandon takes viagra now 'cuz he never sings this anymore!

  • ahh. . 1997. . .i used to be the loser in our elem class since i was left alone to listen to incubus/311/metallica and all the good shit which almost no one understood

but when highschool came by, they all bow down :))

  • I think this is when brandon realized his voice was phenomenal..

  • @chrmalloy :) i always wonder when he realized. Mike said in an interview that he realized Brandon had a great voice when they did Anti-gravity Love Song

  • @MrMixdin You're absolutely right.

They changed but they still have something that the others will never own.

  • Hahaha I'm not an ignorant hick spell it right "korn" I have no respect for them

  • Fungus Amongus and Science are the ONLY good albums they EVER put out, as far as i'm concerned

  • @MrHutchie71 Plus SOME songs on A Crow Left of The Murder

  • Anybody know where I might find an instrumental version of this song?

  • @5oulpower incubus has musical skill corn doesn't

  • @72KLEW there is no such band named corn....

  • @5oulPower they're called Korn with a K instead of a C

  • nobody needs drugs to feel gret, this music is awesome :)

    (says the stoned guy

  • Yeah... back before Incubus started sucking. Great album!

In my opinion, this is what Faith No More could've sounded like if they'd have gone in a different direction after "The Real Thing".

  • @DarthMohammed you know... Why talk about about Faith No More going in a different direction... When KoRn makes music exactly likes this? You might as well talk about KoRn (in their first 3 albums) lol.

  • @5oulPower .... this sounds NOTHING like Korn, this is way too "happy" for Korn

  • @MrHutchie71 this sounds happy to you??? Omg... I don't know what to say to you. This song creates the impression of being insane, going crazy because of pressure - KoRn's trademark feel.

  • good sound best I've ever heard. sounded like I had my earphones out when I had them in lol

  • the sound is not in stereo :-(

  • @allollolla maybe your computers not in stereo.?? i got headphones on u can change from mon to stereo and it deff in stereo for me u can tell the difference

  • they are in a genre all there own.

  • Is this this song talking about us getting shafted for paying for gas? lol just a thought

    Shaft!

Where's Lorena when we need her?

  • Fungus Among Us

  • lol i like how people are all obsessed over one incubus over another. incubus is and always has been a good band, their sounds have changed over the years to something entirely different, but its not bad. its good, just meladolic and peaceful

  • @davisxmonster You are right except that their new sound is mediocre and bland compared to their kick-ass experimental sound when they started.

  • I guess Lorena is supposed to help us with our shafts?

  • This is definitely an offshoot of Funk-Rock, similar to RHCP - To say they "Just play hat feels right to them." is a little crazy; what feels right is the influences they've picked up along the way - otherwise, music in India wouldnt feature high-pitched Indian females, J- and K-Pop wouldnt sound like Boy/Girl Bands with a Discotheque vibe, and Radiohead wouldnt sound like Nirvana who wouldnt sound like emulsified reaction to SynthPop of the 80s.

All music comes from the same tree...

  • This song fuckin rocks!!!

  • Love all their albums. They have the talent to grow and change. Many groups can only have one sound.

  • I only like the first five songs on that album, and nebula and favorite things. Its a good album, but fungus amongus I love all the songs on it.

  • this is the best album, then science, then meh i don't care for the other albums

  • haha, it's all a mater of preference.

science and fungus amongus are very similar... but I personally like the others a little better- granted, I still enjoy science and then fungus amongus

  • good old song...keep it up Kanu

  • Fuckin love Incubus, never been disappointed by them. I will agree the new stuff isn't as good but it's still great music.

  • Best Album ever. Then Science. Fuck the new shit. End of story.

  • i concur.

  • wasnt it on the soundtrack of the first need for speed??

  • how aboouut funk... metal. Funk/metal. Fetal. Munk. Yeah I like it.

  • fetel ftw!

  • not grung but post-grunge..some influences of grunge but not grunge.

  • with a little bit of jammmm man.

  • Comment removed

  • Who's Lorena?

  • Why are people talking about grunge? This album is Alt Metal/Alt Rock.

  • wtf? THIS IS FUNK

  • well i agree with u theonly funk is the first 5 seconds but hey its defenrent i like it

  • @Babymoses145 But it has huge influences. this is Post-grunge in my opinion.

  • @Babymoses145 Because of the heavy parts, and it was 90s lol

  • @Babymoses145 Because the album has some influences of grunge...

  • @Babymoses145 funk metal dude

  • Im in the making of all incubus albums. including M. A. M.

Incubus is a legend.... may they forever rock the hearts of everyone with minds open anuf to comprehend there deep words until ears secs to exist!

  • I don't need drugs to get high. This music gets me excited enough.

  • i listened to their morning view album first and thought they were cool, then i found this and i was like

    "GOD DAYUM THEY'RE AWESOME!!"

  • it upset me when incubus started to change =[

  • i hate to be this guy, but would u have heard of incubus if they started to change and appeal to a broader range of fans?

  • Yes. I discovered this sound way before I found out their history and how they turned mainstream. Also SCIENCE was on a major label but it was funky and metallic like this. Still I like all their work.

  • then i stand corrected but i like the fact that incubus has a very broad range of music. it shows they are good in many styles

  • couldnt agree more. i love these guys old and new. its all amazinggg stuff.

  • @KanuZankoro funny... for me was the opposite. I knew of them (the mainstream incubus) and i hated their guts (and still do), but i've been a funk metal fanatic since forever and my girlfriend introduced me to fungus amongus, i just couldn't believe it was the same band. a true Funk metal masterpiece

  • @basketballfg It's really just the big man telling them to try "a little bit less funk", a little more "standard four-chord songs", "a little less scratching", "make the next one a little less aggressive".

If it weren't for the man's opinion forced onto us, funk-aggro rock, ska, psychobilly, and so forth would be on major labels still like they were in the 90's. Reel Big Fish, for example, NEVER changed their love and their fan base is international, huge and growing by generation.

  • @basketballfg That being said, I own the incubus albums from Fungus - Crow. I learned to enjoy Crow. Lyrically, it's great. Musically, it's still pretty decent. If any newer incubus stuff is on the radio, I won't the change the station.

  • @basketballfg Of course, RBF had to leave the label they were on, which had become predominantly hip-hop in order to be ALLOWED to play the music they wanted to play without someone looking over their shoulder. There are no more major ska or punk labels, because someone decided that most people like a few types of music, 50% of which is hip-hop, and they're all just sampling themselves eventually. The radio decided for you what was worthwhile to hear. "Turn the Radio Off"

  • this song kicks ass, don't like their more recent stuff =/

  • im with you man

  • How can you enjoy shitty pop music when this exists :P

  • I agree also!

  • Lol. This song is bad ass. You gotta upload you will be a hot dancer, and hillikus. And also, mabye medium by itself?

  • yaaay finaly a good version of the song ^_^ been waiting and hoping :o :D

  • shaaaaaftt!!!!...grate song

  • No, lke the RHCP (which is actually my favorite band) they are just playing music that feels natural and right to THEM. Of course, Incubus went through a change of bassist which removed the funk.

  • @KanuZankoro you dumb? ben was in the roots...how does that not equal funk?

  • @KanuZankoro ,,,if you read the liner notes for Fungus Amongus it says "we were wanting very badly to be Primus,Mr.Bungle, and The Red Hot Chili Peppers all rolled into one."

  • Goddamn whore! "Primus sucks" is the old Primus modo! They use to always say it themselves.. it's a fan thing. Booya

  • sad how your a primus "fan" and you don't know the origin of Primus sucks.

  • sad you point it that black /white way,

it makes me think of a guy i hate very much

  • @ptrLeGrand How so? Both have been on the same label for many albums now.

  • wow the original from fungus amoungus. and not enjoy incubus. awesome good job man

  • Their original stuff is da the best. Drug induced sound, love it.

  • I wouldn't say drug enduced

  • ok, drug influenced then, listen to the lyrics on other songs on this album, Psychopsilocybin and Hilikus, You've got to be! so good to me!

  • Lol

Drugs sodn't really affect your music unless you're getting sober xD

    You've got to be...Hilikus!

  • Of course, its very hard to write or play a song when your trippin ballz on shrooms.

  • Hahaha xD

People come up with some crazy shit stoned :P

  • Lol, do u not get the hilikus bit... 'youve got to be HIGH LIKE US' :D:D:D

  • Haha shit man that's clever! How could I not notice! xD Imagine how great this band would be with Mike Patton rapping like he did on Squeeze me Macaroni (Mr Bungle)

  • OHHHHHHHHH!!!!! :D :D

    I get it now!!!

  • @tommk88 no. Hilikus was used as slag for nuts/crazy/mad ect. its pronouced "hal-lik-us"

  • well, drugs were a HUGE part of the whole grunge scene, without heroine (which im not condoning in any way ._.) more than half of AIC songs wouldnt exist. but then again, layne and kurt still would :(

  • yea kurt cobains being gone hugely impacted grunge :( The only good thing that came out of it was the foo fighters but they arent Nirvana
