Great video, i too absolutely love DCing my hair. I just recently DC'ed on dry hair overnight & the results we're amazing. I couldn't believe how soft & manageable my hair was. The tip about adding glycerin to your DC is on point, it just seem to make the conditioner even more potent. Again great video, great tips. =^)
I have been eyeing that glycerin at my Walmart for months wondering if u can use it on hair. I'm glad you made this video using this brand of glycerin even though it was in March :) Glad it worked out for u! Off to make that glycerin purchase lol :)
thanks i try this yesterday n my hair was so soft thanks so much o both a 5lb of conditioner n a 32oz of veg. glycern thanks this is now my new deep conditioner from now on
@ThePrincessniece when you moisturize your hair..you do it on dry hair, and your hair gets moisturized, product is getting through. It's the same with applying DC on dry hair.
@angeldp1000 you can def mix glycerin into your leave in..glycerin does not have to be rinsed out..it's actually in a lot of moisturizers also..so feel free, I love making moisturizing concoctions lol
so for this does deep conditioning work on dry hair even though prior to putting the deep conditioner on your hair u have products already on your hair so my ? is is it still good to deep condition your hair if u have products on it already? ex: heat protectant, moisturizer, etc? n whats your opinion on hair mayonise? i want to try organic roots hair mayonise
@iosula89 Yes it is, this method varies..some people hate it..some people love it..but it's good to try it to see if it works for you. I've used ORS mayonnaise and I loved it.
Thank you so much for this video. I went out and bought some glycerin today. And now when I deep condition I will use glycerin and deep condition on dry hair. Thanks for your wonderful tips. Keep the videos coming.
I love wash days too! and idk my favorite part for some reason is applying my herbal essences leave in :). but hey your hair looks darker in this vid did you dye it black again?
I was wondering if you use the exact same technique when you have lot of new growth. I am 2 months post and have a LOT of very thick new growth which is cool, but it's becoming difficult to get the conditioner into my new growth without causing tangles.
Do you have the same issue and if yes did you find a way to make it work ?
@HereDianass Yes I do, when I have a lot of new growth I use the same method. As for the tangles, I have experienced this but I just take my time in detangling or applying the cond. to my hair to avoid tangles.
okk so i usually deep condition on wet hair because i feel like rinsing my hair off before i deep condition gets rid of the excess product build up (especially oil) that can coat my hair and prevent the deep conditioner from getting in... does that make sense or will the deep conditioner still penetrate my hair shaft even if i have oils on my hair if i deep condition on dry hair ?
@kamilahbianca I get what your saying..I've just always learned that water fills the hair shaft up, but if you find that dc on wet hair is better for you than stick with it..I just always love how my hair feels after dc on dry hair oppose to wet hair.
since you deep condition on dry hair, you should try microwaving your conditioner for like 25 seconds, just to get it warm....not hot too hot, then apply it to your hair. works great for me :-)

After you've DC on dry hair, shampooed, and applied another conditioner, do you have to apply a leave in as well?
Also, do you have any recommendations for a water based moisturizer?
I just came across your channel...love it :)

@kamilahbianca I always thought the same thing. I also think I have to rinse because I use Heat protectant that REALLY coats the hair.
