  • If you want a VW get a Skoda Octavia OR the Superb!!!

  • VWs - the most boring cars ever

  • SUCH A BEER BELLY

  • It only like a 16 thousand dollar car

  • He's just saying PAY ATTENTION: I have nothing to say about this car, only the fact that is made in Mexico, why the madness I´m proudly Mexican and I didn´t see this as an insult.

  • damn dude

jeremy always says that americans are fat and all...but hes fatter than most americans LOLOL

  • Come on, it's 14 feet of car. 14 feet of expensive car. It really has no features. It just doesn't. Look at it. Where are the features. Spam. Traffic. Look a "Whatever".

  • 40mil dollares en Argentina, very good car

  • @marcosandrada5557 Qué caro por allá.

  • Be as mad as you like. Jeremy is right on this one.

  • MADE IN MEXICO... CHECK

MEXICAN DESIGN?... NEED TO THINK ABOUT THAT...

AS AN INDUSTRIAL DESIGNER, MANUFACTURE IS NOT THE SAME AS DESIGN, ITS A WHOLE DIFFERENT STORY AND IF IT HAS NO "FEATURES", ITS DESIGNERS FAULT SOO JEREMY HAS TO THINK BEFORE SPEAK, AND YES IM MEXICAN, PROUDLY MEXICAN!

  • @candymustang You didn´t have to tell us that you´re Mexican. We kinda found out. And you kinda don´t get the punch line of Jeremy´s joke...

  • @kriklan49 He wouldn't, he's mexican :/

  • @candymustang He simply stated as a fact, that this car was made in Mexico. I didn't see that there is a correlation between bland styling and the fact that it was Mexican made after watching this video.

  • What a dick. lol

  • BMW 1M in the background.

    All arguments are invalid.

  • as im a vw fan i know a few things about the jetta like that chrome strip meant it was the top of the trim jetta so it had A/C, heated seats, sat/nav, auto headlights, dual zone climate control, automatic climate control, cruise control, leather seats, sunroof, keyless entry/start, and fog lights, no features? surreee

  • @topgearlinks There are few cars that don't have today. "Yeah, i have a top-of-the-trim jetta" I can't think of many cars that sound less exciting than that. That's what jeremy talked about - the car is boring, vulgar. It's fairly well equipped, yeah, but there are hundreds of more interesting cars that are like that too.

  • @machone7I yea i know its not exciting and trust me my mother has a jetta tdi SEL and its a good car but nothing exciting, but it wasnt designed to be exciting it was designed to get 4-5 people to their destination comfortably, quietly, safely, economically, and practically. VW doesnt specialize in that you get what you pay for. If you want tire-shredding, exciting and a great fun car get a mercedes AMG car. volkswagen specializes in practicality not tire shredding, roughness

  • @topgearlinks I think i still have a point - There are more interesting equivalent cars out there. Japanese make pretty good, fun cars, my mother bought a Focus, which has proven to be reliable, and real fun to drive, even with an engine with little more than 110 hp. You can probably name several saloons that are fun, reliable and feel special in some way for the prize of a jetta, but with more character. The Jetta, then, is alright, but i'd rather get something else.

  • @machone7I but the jetta is the best all rounder, biggest trunk in its class best rear leg room, most headroom, best fuel economy with the diesel, and i have to say my previous comment wasnt all that true, my moms jetta handles great, steering is good, and it does have a tiny bit of personality. but i wouldnt choose the jetta this would be my 2nd choice. the mitsubishi lancer would be my first. nd japanese build cars cheaply but effectively, germans build their cars with better quality

  • @topgearlinks A Jetta with a decent engine and equipment can come for about 22k. For that money, you can get tons of other more interesting cars, from a decent focus with leather interior or a lancer, to a 300hp mustang V6. I've driven a 2008 jetta and it's not bad at all. The problem it's that it looks like any other car, sounds like any other car, feels like any other car... It's not bad, of course, it's a VW, they are well made, fairly well prized... Problem is it's a lame car.

  • 90 angry mexicans

  • MK3 jettas were the best.

  • well I'm Mexican and I liked it..

    and I drive a GTI

  • Chinga tu madre pinche mamon!

  • people come down here and Thumbs up this video just because they like how Clarkson presents his shows...and coz they are wanna be Super Car owners...lol Most of the people who come here cant own one... At least I agree that I cannot...

Jetta is an Awesome Car XD

  • @Aziralfredo The Jetta WAS an awesome car. Then VWoA came down with the MkVI and then we lost the quality, the 2.0T engine, the independent rear suspensions...Anyone in North America should understand where I'm coming from.

  • @PranavArunMoolan He drives and enjoys several cheap cars as well. Remember the Ford Fiesta review? The hot hatch challenge? The Renault Twingo review? How about the Skoda Yeti? Look them up.

Also, the new Jetta is actually goppingly awful. I say this as someone who can't even afford one (my friend has one). Its build quality has gone seriously downhill.

For that, the Jetta isn't even cheap. You're only paying extra to say that you're driving a German automotive icon of yesteryear.

  • I think the jetta is not that bad my cousin has one and even if it's does not have any features its still a very good tuneing car

  • fuck you!!!! VW kicks ass!!!!

  • The Mexicans have been watching this outtake, along with the Germans.....84 dislikes

  • if you're talking about the jetta you should better be talking about the original one. that's a proper classic

  • :(..... i own a jetta and i dun think it is that bad.... it's not a race car, for that price im pretty happy with what i have,,,, cuz i do not have 100,000$ for some sport cars.... and i think it is not a bad car for average people,,,, and perhaps already a lot better than most japanese cars

  • Mexico is going to be so mad . . . again!

  • @McFly2015AD why? :P It's a solid car.

  • if i was clarkson id review it like this ...the jetta for badge snobs who do not want to be seen in a skoda octavia or can not afford the smaller booted passat built by some fajita eaters in mexico who proberbly slacked off to watch some wreseling

  • LOL

  • @PranavArunMoolan considering your english is poor.....i guessing your not a bbc licence payer, so if your not shut the fuck up, and if you dont like him dont watch his videos you stupid bastard.

  • @topgear100 I can't believe you consider your english to be good enough to complain about others'. IT'S FREAKING HORRIBLE, GET OFF YOUR PEDESTAL

  • Im from egypt and we consider this here a supercar...might be the only one with a floppy gearbox...and peugeot maybe

  • I have a 2010 jetta and i'm trading it for a 2012 one. I think they look great and look a bit like the a4 is that a bad thing no. this kind of car is for a person with family and likes looks. cheap to run and cheap on tax. this car is not cheap to buy new 27,995 euro in ireland that doesn't fall out of tree or your pocket Jeremy Clarkson. what do you have to say now Clarkson? wil you give me one

  • @VxO4fame: in europe the jetta is anything else than a low budget car - 30.000 euros is quite expensive

  • I dont get his point. Whats the matter of this car? I think its a really nice car.

  • @945nico No flavor, no taste whatsoever, nothing that could ever draw your attention. It's just a car - a metal box with some rubber, aluminium, a few bolts and some glass - nothing to say and think about it. It's a car for those sort of people who open a door, get in, turn the engine on, look through the windscreen and go, totally not giving a shit about what they're actually sitting in. That's it, I totally get his point ;)

  • embrassing for the VW guys :-(

But yeah its made to compete against the other japanese/korean low budget middle class cars.

  • Es fácil decir cualquier incoherencia cuando no se conoce algo en verdad, lastima, el show esta bueno.

  • Piece of shit car... what was VW thinking? I've been to the factory it's manufactured and they could do so much better. It's a shame they produce it here in Mexico.

  • C'mon VW it's Corona.

"ladies and gentlemen. Please welcome new VW Corona"

  • Jeremy is angry becouse New Jetta is much better then British Cheap Car :-P (rover, and.....that's all ?).Jetta look like big limousine, drive very good, gearbox good, comfortable, and it is well equip - good car for people who drive a loot in big distance. Much better them Skoda Octawia, Hyundai i30, Mitsubishi Lancer, Toyota corolla, Hyundai Elantra, Peugeot 307, and Ford Focus. P.S Regards for VW Emploer in Mexico and Poland (poznań)

  • i hate how jeremy discriminates mexico, just because it was made in mexico doesnt mean anything

  • the jetta tdi has a dsg transmission that shifts in milliseconds

  • Jeremy Clarkson should go to visit México's VW production plant and see how much of an ignorant prejudiced asshole he is.

They are very hard working people, not only the automotive industry is got eyes on them, the airspace industry is also investing a lot over there.

  • @axrs550 U mad

  • @axrs550 LOL U mad, beaner?

  • Oh no the Mexico joke

  • @GOD Oh no. VW Jetta is Made in Mexico. The ones for the US market for sure. I would not be surprised if the same applied for the EU models.

  • Most boring and tasteless jetta ever.....

  • You would not talk like that if u drove Yugo 20 years or whenever is bellow -5 out side go walking or loking first stream to push him on it so it can start engine :) ( thank god at least he had rear glass heaters :D )

  • god that cars boring

  • Volkswagen Jetta... It's explosive...

  • As a mexican I must say... I hate the Jetta.

  • @Ch1Frequency y yo tambien como mexicano debo decir que te odio a ti

  • @mustangsupersnake Wasn't a serious joke... Jeremy Clarkson said that... but Ok. I'll take it, we are brown, dirty and poor Mexicans... Well, I'm not because I just live here and I like it, but it's to insult each other.

  • @mustangsupersnake Just kiding they are not like that, there's bad people everywhere.

  • The reason he can't find a single word to describe it is because it's obviously a brilliant car. It's quite good looking as well and makes a change from the 'I don't know what to buy honey, shall I just buy a Golf because my neighbours and friends have them?' which he continues to praise for what reason?

  • Comment removed

  • jetta's are awesome, it was my first car and it was great. enough room to haul my friends around, great gas mileage, fun little manual transmission. what more could you ask for? its a cost effective sedan that gets the job done. its no mercedes but hey, still a great car if you take care of it.

  • "made in mexico", is that supposed to be a complement or a derogatory remark?

  • @zaneacademy its supposed to be a true fact

  • FUCK YOU OLD BRITISH

  • @mustangsupersnake cow-stabber.

  • Clarkson = Genius

  • @MaastheMaster Clarkson = Hilarious asshole

  • I love VW and I agree, the 2011 sucks

  • I owned a Jetta. Piece of grade-A crap.

  • volkswagen cant build a proper rearwheel drive car and so they are a disgrace to my country. Seriously, why do people even buy a Polo GTI or a Golf, theyre expensive, ugly, and the engines are way from the former standard they had til the 80s. Never seen so much blown engines, sepecially the 1.6 TSI. They have even completely broken engine blocks and pistons in this crappy thing, but VW goes like Hey i can make 160 BHP but only for 20.000 miles, then ill blew up...

  • nice car

but the only problem with this car is ugly

  • I guess when U put a Volkswagen Jetta next to a Porsche and a Ferrari, they really sucks, but its a great car and I love it

  • 67 hardcore jetta fans...id rather be dead

  • @shobin05 Meh, I don't like the New Jettas the old one looked and were better. VW cheapened it to appeal to more people I guess.

  • @shobin05 I think that the Jetta is a very good car, I like the video, I don't get your point.

  • Clarkson beer belly? or is he fat?

  • @brianjgtc90s definitely the cause of beer, to be true theres no such thing as "beer belly" because everytime you drink beer its like consuming meat, hence you get fatter...if you work out you can lose it if you dont you'll end up like clarkson...

  • Jeremy should have requested the fully equipped 2.0 TSi version.

  • too much cost cutting involved, I'm not pleased with the new jetta

  • @Betaops252 No but is making much more sales so many that this year VW is going to convert in to the biggest car manufacturer over-passing Toyota, and that is great for Mexico and Germany

  • @xicot86 wait, vw is outselling toyota?

  • @Betaops252 According to Bloomberg and Thomson/Routers yes

  • @Betaops252 US economy is too fucked up for the average buyer to afford Europe's better Jetta. It's still a good car but for US's current economy

  • I also reviewed a Jetta, and I completely disagree with Clarkson. He drives around in Astons and Ferraris, and than when it comes to ordinary cars he can't be realistic. Even his last two ''tests'' of normal cars, the twingo and the fiesta, were a joke... i still love him tho :P btw, european Jetta is nothing like the US version, no drums in the back for us... also, better suspension, better interior,...

  • @88JC11 I think he's talking about optional extras, Hes probably driving a cheaper, standard one that he got from a rental car buisness, but yes I agree, the Jetta is a very nice car

  • @88JC11 If clarkson did a proper test of everyday normal cars then Topgears ratings would plumit. I mean, i would still watch but the everyday watcher who isn't into cars would be turned off.

  • Time like this I do think the cast is a bit spoiled by cars with hefty price tags with hardly any practical use.

  • I reviewed a Jetta highline and had alot to say about it.

  • @ShanesAutos that's why you're better then Clarkson :)))))))))) ....or not

  • @ShanesAutos im not better than him im just saying he's wrong about the jetta.

  • The Mexico running gag is here to stay.

  • Dk Jeremy did a review on the jeta ? If there is could any kind soul provide the link ? Thanks

  • JEZZA got a JETTA.

  • Yup VW and Mexico both suck. Thanks Jeremy!

  • Actually it is built in mexico... i belive.

  • LOL Mexico! again!

  • He's right about the Jetta. I recently test drove it and for its price, I could get a better car. After I test drove the Jetta, Camry, and Honda Accord, I settle for the 2012 Accord Sedan EX and paid 22.5k. I couldn't be happier. The ride is firm and handling is nimble. With 190 hp and I-vtec it is a joy to drive. The interior quality is better and more upscale.

  • Bland

  • ha ha... i love how the video cuts out before he says mexico... :P

  • The only problem with this car is that VW has made a budget cut! Made in Mexico, plastic door parts! But the 1.4 TSI that produces 160bhp is great though.

  • thats it?? not even a minute long video... :/

  • Made in Mexico? Check the boot.

  • @HachiZenki it is in fact made in mexico! There's a huge VW plant in the outskirts of the city of Puebla. It is one of the biggest assembly and manufacturing plants in the world... :D

  • i bought a 2.slow mkvi jetta and yeah it's made in mexico :/ but for $15500, 30mpg, 5 year warranty, and the fact that it isn't a honda, i'm more than happy :)

  • Jumping in the firing line here, but i think my parents must hate cars:

My mum has a Nissan Micra C+C "Sport"

My dad has that exact Jetta... Same colour too!

  • Made in America btw. The previous gen (mkv) was made in Mexico.

  • @ddnn3 No it is in fact still made in Mexico.

  • Hahahaha "probably made in Mexico"

  • @Jboogie8812 you keep laughing, we keep building them.

  • Clarkson is a Blowhard & needs to go to driving school!

  • Top Gear, we want more outtakes!!!

  • There he goes again Mexican jokes, fucking asshole. Didn't he learn once from this? Viva Mexico Cabrones!!!!!

  • Old Jetta's (Mk2 and Mk3 - called in Europe Vento, which I have at the moment) were very nice and reliable cars. I love how they were economic, and had cheap parts. What's more, if your car is broken, in most cases you can fix it on your own, but usually, there is nothing to fix cause nothing is broken. Jetta all the way!

    Regards from Poland.

Btw - I don't care where car is made, I am looking only at reliability, fuel consumption and style. Regards.

  • MORE STUFF LIKE THIS!

  • 2.0 tdi hahahaha

  • If Jeremy were a car he would be the new Jetta with an automatic transmission.

  • @jimmygreen11 Nah he would be a old 2 stroke saab. Lots of noise but generally pretty useless except for having a laugh.

  • Jeremy, the word you are looking for is DULL.

And as that is true for 90% of the VW products, they should probably change their logo for that word.

  • Where did pages 9 and 10 go. O.o

  • Comment removed

  • It does look like a really boring car.

  • VIVA MEXICO CABRONES! fucking jeremy, always a laugh isn't he.

  • Clarkson is pregnant.

  • @bob333336 I love how i read your comment in a british accent.... lmao

  • @bob333336 probably twins...

  • Mexica VW Jett up the ass :D!!

  • This man is a genious nough said.

  • I believe that it was made in Mexico. VW tried that before in the 80s

  • @2293Oscar Oh i'm sorry did he hurt your feelings??? hahahahah you #$%^.

  • WE WANT MORE EPISODES!!

  • Mexico

  • no ,it is 100% mexican built

  • the mexico fact is enough jeremy :D

  • Guys is he playing when he said that Mexicans built it?

  • Comment removed

  • @thekong153 Nope, its true. When you buy a VW Jetta in USA, its made in Mexico, not Germany.

  • Comment removed

  • Is it a problem?

  • @2293Oscar if you know that the car is made in mexico, then what is the fuck is the problem with stating a fact?

  • Who cares about Jetta. Its a cheap model made specifically for american market. I dont even look at it as a VW model, since its complete shit compared to european VW models.

  • @derbigpr500 Jetta isn't made specifically for american market. We get the jetta in europe too. Only difference is it's good. Just goes to show how shit the american market is...

  • really the NEW JETTA sucks in any way in mexico the interior look and feel so cheap and dont to say about the brake system it still use drums in the back... the Old jetta version have better interiors and stuff for a cheaper price really VW have disappoint me.. and im from mexico

  • @poncho90 and yet my 2.5 can beat the shit out of your car in a race and fuel efficient, and its super fun to drive

  • @poncho90 Well the new Jetta in Canada is WAY cheaper than the last one. By like 5 grand, and the new passat is $7,000 less than the old one brand new

  • @poncho90 couldn't agree more. a friend of mine always try to argue of how great VW interior. i just sit and laugh.

  • @poncho90 It's all German engineering. The people the put it together in Mexico just put it together in Mexico. VW give's them the parts, they assemble it there and there you go. Doesn't matter if German put it together or a Mexican it will still be the same parts. Only reason Why it's from Mexico is because it's less expensive to transport. Therefore keeping costs down. But you are right. older jettas are better, but if vw kept making em like that itll be harder for a consumer NOW to buy.

  • @symbiot90 You're absolutely right. They do that with Mercedes and BMW as well, at least to my knowledge of hearing it on TV, which is not always right, except the consumers are not aware. It's cheaper to assemble in the US, then in Germany and then import it. It's the same, powerful German engineering, but assembled in the US.

  • @poncho90 If you did any reading at all you would know that VW did that on purpose to dumb the car down to compete more with the Corollas and Civics of this world that have been using cheaps materials for years, it was just nobody noticed because they were to dumbfounded by the all the BS realabilty claims by the Jap car makers until people. started to die in their cars, now people want to survive hen they drive, so they are looking at other cars. You pricing statement is wrong too.

  • @poncho90 Hell Drum brakes? I didnt even know those still exist!

  • @PerformanceCars1FCH1 You obviously don't live in North American, where 80% of new cars still have drums.

  • @poncho90 That's why a used/second hand 2008 Jetta with 20-30 thousand miles costs just as much as, if not more, than a brand new Jetta, the new one's are made so cheaply it's not even funny. I call it the Communist car, you get what you need, nothing more, and Karl Marx will pop out the dash and smack you with a ruler if you even THINK so much as heated seats, or a 5 CD changer. xD

  • oly 360p ????

  • Now I really want to read what did he come up with...

  • this was not worth making the upload...

  • The new Jetta TDI is amazing plus I love Mexico!
