For me this interpretation is absolutely stunning. The right tempo, the right ammount of embellishments, the right mood. Excessive excitement or a too quick tempo would diminish the beauty of the melody and the elegance of the coloratura. I think DiDonato sounds her amazing self from top to bottom, without any noticeable difference... Her singing gets more and more solid, so that one just relaxes and hears.

To walk out and launch straight into Rossini pyrotechnics is quite something. She is fabulous. He needs shooting.

this is not as good as paris/geneva. she seems to be too slow at times and finishes her sentences with less ease than she normally has. The highest notes though seem to get better and better, revealing her soprano nature ^^
