Happy to say that Jose is Puerto Rican and one hell of a class act. This man even in his older years has more talent in his big toe than most "superstars" assembled in one room. His radical style of playing and singing paved the way for many artists, both white and non white to make it. He payed dearly for singing the National Anthem "his" way and suffered a heavy price. It's a little bit of a different style, mostly a cultural difference, but Acoustic Guitar is still very alive today and exceptionally well played!

I remember seeing Jose on t.v. back in the 60's when I was a kid, in black and white just like this. I was blown away then by his musical abilities and I still am. Pure genius!!! In fact, I have played this video at work for some of my coworkers at break time and they just sit there stunned and in awe of what they have just seen.
