To hear Veni Creator brings me bliss from my childhood! I learnt it in Latin when I was 8 years old to sing it in the choire of my Catholic school for the ritual of the confirmation. Veni Creator is one of the most ancient and beautiful Hymns to the Holy Spirit, written by Rabanus Maurus(776-856) born 12 centuries ago.

I'm 32 years old today and it still in my memory and in my heart.

Don´t be envious my friend, you have others, what I don´t have. It´s not important, if the voice is beautiful or not, it´s more important, that you sing with your heart! What you have from God - give it back to him! :-))

Wir feierten mit spezialen erlaubnis schon die Tridentinische messe bevor das Motu Proprio bei zb. beerdigungen.

Nach dem Motu Proprio haben wir sofort entschieden jede Samstag und Sonntag die messe in die Usus Antiquior zu feiern.

Unsere (ubrigens kleine) Klosterkirche ist ganz voll waehrend diese messe (etwa 250 besucher). In die dorfskirche wo es die Hollandische messe gibt kommen vielleicht knapp 100 glaubige.

Ich weiss dass es die wunsch der Capuziner monchen war die 800. jahrige zelebration im alten Ritus zu feiern.

Der Koral steht im Gotteslob Nummer 240. Ich hab mal die Melodie für alle Strophen bekommen, weil es manchmal etwas schwierig ist wie man manche Stellen in den Strophen singen soll (vom Text her). Normalerweise singe ich keine Koräle, höchsens marianische Antiphone am Schluß von der Vesper oder am Samstag nach dem Mittagessen. Ich wünsche Ihnen (Dir?) einen gesegneten Chriskönigssonntag! :-)

I don´t know who has an "Alternances polyphoniques", we have this song in the songbook of the catholic church, but we don´t sing that with the people, there is also a simple version. Be blessed there!
