@Dorff21 Thanks! I was just sort of using my engineering common sense as I was going. I definitely made a couple mistakes, though.
For instance: The "rotor" is the thing that turns, not the "stator." The Stator is the thing that's visible on the outside that's made out of all that red wire. It supplies the field for the rotor to interact with.
