The problem about this is, this video was before a lot of changes were introduced. Fear/Howl of Terror now breaks on less damage then before and with the introduction of Dualspec, wouldn't it be easier to go affliction for levelling and a full out demonology for elite quests? In addition to this, i've noticed your gear is majorly end-raid burning crusade gear, would this have any affect on a normal levellers performance as in terms of speed and efficiency?

I leveled two warlocks (yes, I had two) with this after BC launch. The other had level 70's greens/blues.

Does worse gear make leveling slower? Absolutely. But it doesn't change the relative power of the specs.

So you'd level slower with worse gear in any spec.

Fear breaking has nothing to do with how well the spec works btw.

And dual spec makes no difference. This spec is faster than pure affliction. The demo-elite aspects were just a bonus.

What about the siphon life change? I know you get around the same amount of healing as the old siphon life was, but the damage was reduced a bit. Does this have any affect on anything?

Fewer GCD's so you can either pull more mobs or drain life more. It's a net gain.

Finally, i reached level 71 earlier today and tried out this spec, however, when i reached my first elite quest my voidwalker had troubles keeping aggro, making it a pain. Should i just drain-tank while demonic empowerment is on cooldown or use felguard?

I always just let him tank and I let his dps whittle the mob down. Slower, but you don't pull aggro off him.

Use something like MyThreat or Omen to manage your threat versus his.

demonic empowerment is kind of a pvp talent...yes its good cause of the increase attack speed but the movment imparing thing is only really a problem in pvp...so the talent point can go elsewhere

imp range is better then nightfall as you can pull more mobs and from a further range to give you less time to get hit etc

It's always instant now, the talents boost its damage. It's a great change!

im definatly lvling as deep affl, with deep affl you can pull like 30 mobs at the time, Siphon Life, drain life and haunt will keep you up
