I love american trucks but only problem is poor reliability and NO RESALE value at all. Thats why I am thinking about getting a TACOMA/TUNDRA or RIDLINE
@gtvapsamtik lol you want reliability? stick with a chevy or ford look up some videos of toyota tundra on here start with f150 vs chevy versus toyota bed bounce. they go to toyota' quality video i bet money you change youre mind bro
I love american trucks but only problem is poor reliability and NO RESALE value at all. Thats why I am thinking about getting a TACOMA/TUNDRA or RIDLINE
Ahh... just like old times :). An 89 4Runner in that same situation(ish), though the tires of the 89' was deeper in the mud lols, and it was both front and back haha :D. Besides, why are you off-roading in a LONNGGG truck?
@blam7 yeah thats cool for you, except the TRD for you doesnt mean as much as toyota makes it out to be. Sure all manufactureres do this in there own way but in toyotas case, they put a 20 to 30 dollar decal/embllem on the bed and charge you 6 to 10 thousand more and for what. A person that has a plain one can go to the auto store and get the same shock, spring and so many other parts. Vehicles that run professionally, then TRD means something
Actually your wrong, TRD Off Roadis at the most 2k. It adds upgraded tires (and i think rims too), Bilstien Shocks, and a rear locker, it also adds the towning package with tow/haul mode.
@raiderz111 hey bright one, you are wrong for the test has already been done or the few differences on the TRD and the plain jane model. For everything that TRD gives professional on their trucks, people at home get a limited package not to boot the guy with a plain tundra will get the same part from a dealership or parts store.
@76hodges Your english does not make any sense at all. A Standard 4x4 Tundra ONLY gets a ALSD (Automatic Limited Slip Diff,Not Mechanical, Uses the ABS and Brakeing System), While getting a TRD Off Road Package adds a Full Locking Rear Diff, Bilstein Shocks , and BFGoodrich Tires:Rugged Trail T/A.
@raiderz111 well it seems that you are a toyota fan that thinks it means something. I didnt say that there were NO options, I just said that it is a way to make more money by offering less, all manufacturers do this shit for brains. I knwo what the scoop is, if you are too stupid to understand, then just go and enjoy being scammed
@raiderz111 also shows how stupid you are for this has already been found out. Oh and if you didnt understand that, they took 2 trucks, one a TRD and one that want and the men got the same parts. Big deal about the rear end, oohh thats just one part. You must not of understood what Toyota said their TRD were going to have differently from the plain jane ones duh
@raiderz111 then you are stupid then for Toyota has more on their list on what they say are on the TRDs. Also just looking at the shocks as something you agree with being different but yet is the same part giving by the auto store for both a trd and a plain model. The locking differential is on more than just the TRDs.
How the hell is it the same part? If the TRD is bilstein tuned shocks? Stock tundra's do NOT have that. The Locking Differential only is on the TRD Off Road Package, i do not know if it is on the TRD Rock warrior package.
And yes i am aware that there is more to the TRD Off Road, such as, the towing package, but that is irrelevant.
@raiderz111 listen dumb ass, if you want to be a toyota fan that thinks having a TRD decal/sticker on the bed means a whole lot, then you pay the extra money for it doesnt mount to shit being now more Toyotas, yes even the Tundra is being recalled for other issues besides the gas pedel/floor mat. OH, not every single TRD has the shocks as you seem to think lol
well you can keep jumping to conclusions, i know there is more than just a sticker. I know im paying extra for items (such as different tires, locking diff, etc.) that are NOT standard on the tundra, Henceforth the name being TRD Off-Road PACKAGE.
@raiderz111 what a dumbass you are, I never said that there were NOTHING, I just said that its not as big as Toyota and its fans make it out to be when you know what the TRD means away from civilian vehicles. Big deal about a labeled shock, bigger tires and a locking gear that you had the info on being wrong. Look at a true TRD truck that runs the name on it and the whole steering and much much more is different. Its just a part of a sales pitch where people think they r getting something better
How is that a sales pitch when i can plainly read on the truck's labels at the dealership whats installed on the truck? I know im getting what i want nothing else.
In 6 months my F-150 could still go through this mud puddle while the TOYota is in the shop for a faulty frame. As far as being tough I have a farm so mine is on the job site 24/7. You don't see jap shit on my job site cause they can't make it down my road.
i will admit tundras are nice and have alot of power if you get the 5.7 but i just prefer the sierra with the vortec max the active fuel management helps alot gets better mpg then the tundra and has more power
At least toyota stand behind their product. 6 liter is missing and blowing out blue smoke and computer spits out codes. Take it to the dealer and they keep it for a day and tell u its normal? Thats why not to buy GMC. trd supercharger is covered under factory warranty . Why wont any body else do that?
@bestamerica not the newer ones, the ones with amber stopped i think in 2003 or 4, not sure on the year but know for sure that the new ones dont have aber in them
@bestamerica well i dont know for everyone that i have seen at the car lots including my sister inlaws(2008 model), there are no amber not to mention the one here in the video has no amber from the short piece shown
every die hard red neck's going to bad mouth the toyotas. they wont be talking when their car companies go bankrupt... for the second time... maybe... hopefully to shut these MF up.
there's a reason why toyotas are the number one selling and climbing!! your little trucks can't even compare to the tacos!!
toyotas WERE at one time the best quality car and truck. Modern sales are thriving off that reputation. Todays toyota is a piece of shit, just like american vehicles.
yes, toyota is the number one selling car manufacturer in the world, no arguments there. however if you want to talk trucks, ford and gm have them beat majorly simply in the numbers sold. toyotas make a very reliable car an quality car, better than american companys on a whole. but tundras are brand new in almost every way, where as the domestic companys have been building trucks for a long time. not saying tundras arnt solid trucks, but for now theyre not much really to say they are
wait. i'm sorry, i do believe ford isent even close to bankrupt...... hmmmmm that would explain how the f-150 is the best selling truck for i think its 34 years now???
POS thats why... who in the world would buy a nice truck and take it to a constructions site? Why isnt there any Lincoln Mark on sites? or Harley Davidson Edition? Because they are to expensive... F-150 is a cheap truck which you use for one job and buy a new one for the next because it aint no good no more after the first job.
Tundras have such a weak frame! lol I beat Tundras with my 2004 HEMI all day! this is the OLD HEMI too. Tundras are the MOST over ratted truck out there. FUCK TOYOTA!!! piss all over em....lol yeah cummins would eat toyota alive....Toyota needs to stick to cars.....their trucks always have the check engine light on....cause theyre not dependable
O you silly redneck. My tundra was made in texas dumb fuck. Not mexico like ford. But a silly redneck like you with missing teeth would not know that.
hahaha american trucks are SHIT!! PERIOD. they don't even come with diesels for proper off road power delivery, and most don't even come with a real mans gearbox. the best stock trucks out there by MILES are made by landrover, a $200 35 yr old series 3 kicks the ass off ANY showroom US truck, it takes skill and thousands of dollars to get an american truck to that standard... the landcruiser is close behind though, and they NEVER break down.
not there older trucks dude i had a 2wd yota and i have yet to be stuck even with bald tires. this guy cant drive u can tell hes got to much money and no brains. i would get out of my truck and smack my friend for telling me how to drive.
how much is your paycheck and fing me to bald tires and i dont mean bald as in slicks either imtalking about bald as in will not pass inspection. and on that little mud pit they have. im not talking bout climbing the andes mtns.
