If GW tried copying WoW and went with the alpha version then the game would have failed. It is like a 1998 version of WoW. ANET was so lucky to not go with this and go with the improvised graphics engine. I wonder where you found this video, quite a rarity.

I like the animations here more then I do in the updated GW. I guess Graphics do effect Animations. Better the Graphics the worst the Animations will be unless the developers spend too much time hammering out the animations, which means less time developing gameplay. Which equals still another crappy game. IMO I wouldnt mind if GW2 had lesser graphics, as long as the animations look smooth like this.
