I've always really loved this song. I'm getting married in two weeks and one of the things we've left untilt he last minute is picking out a first dance song. I wonder if I can convince the missus to dance to this one. it's a little long, so maybe we'll convince people to join us half way through, too self-concious otherwise...
@california91149 I don't find it sad at all. For me, it's an inspirational song. During the times in my life when I was alone, and despaired at ever finding someone, who would love me as I loved them. We'll, I never stopped believing that one day I'd find someone. So I kept my eyes on the sparrow. Anyway, wedding was great and everyone joined in the dancing, so not so self concious. We then segued into 'another girl, another planet', which rocked.
It may not be a poupar album in reggae and music such as a popular songs of bob marleynbut its the greatest in my life testimony growing up. Jimmy Cliff touched all aspect of my whole life that they actually name me Jimmy Cliff in my high scoll growing up in Nigeria.
Wasn't what I was expecting, it was a wonderful piece of music.
