  • YEAH

  • play this with rainymood..actually sounds amazing...

  • Epic, no words. I want to cry.

  • Humanity will invent a perpetual motion machine, formulate a unified field theory, and achieve everlasting global peace before Buckethead writes a song that doesn't KICK ASS.

  • This song cured my cancer... o_O

  • I'm only 3 minutes in and I'm already getting the 'I-need-more-buckethead' sweats.

  • @desolationofsmaug way ta go buddy that was a wicked comment

  • Still not early 19th century. Fail.

  • @desolationofsmaug more like 1945. See how easy it is to get your facts straight before writing bs? Just freakin' google it, seems to do the trick. Unless you still believe 1945 is early 19th century, then it is an education system of your country at fault here.

  • Words fail me. :O

  • This is not only music!

  • @desolationofsmaug is this a coincedental WoW reference?

  • @nuttyyman No, its more likely a reference to H.P. Lovecraft's Yog-Sothoth. An interdimensional being literally also known as "The Lurker at the Threshold" in Lovecraftian works.

  • @nuttyyman

    NO.

    FAGGOT.

  • N'yaah! N'yaah! Shub Niggurath!

  • Ph’nglui mglw’nafh Buckethead R’lyeh wgah’nagl fhtagn.

  • Apparently the song is so awesome, Amazon had to divide it into 4 parts and sell em for a dollar each. Seriously.

  • This is quite possibly my favorite BH song. It's so well structured and is so epic. I want to put my guitar down after hearing this guy. It disheartens me. He's so good.

  • @emblazedskater Or the epic Lotus Island ...

  • @victorianguy I have Lotus Island stacked right behind this one in my playing queue. You should try these two together like that. It is 15 minutes of awesome!

  • @emblazedskater really? everytime i start listening to buck i have to pick my guitar up!

  • @KristyB5 just the "clocks"comment.some people are very nice and some arent.buckethead people are much more cordial than nine inch nails peeps.dont get me wrong i love nin but some are just mean.

  • i love this kinda creepy eery sexy song

  • @KristyB5 i take it ur comment was meant in a nice way so if u ever go to b.h. or primus shows find me.im not hard to find and ill get u thru the shows

  • @lonesalcornbug which comment?

  • of course I love this song..i really like this album and album cover.you know this album is tied into with spinal clock and coo coo clocks

  • @lonesalcornbug it just ocurred to me. Clocks.

  • The Past Present and Future are all one in Yog-Sothoth

  • 9:41 of pure beauty

  • Sounds like reality at Apartments Doorstep,Buckethead RULES!!!!

  • I love his simply and deep melodies.

    hail bucket.

    love you man.

  • A song called Inner Peace by Evil-Dog is pretty inspired by this song but still a great song, check it out...

  • Thanks for putting the tracks together. This is really great music.

  • The drums are just awesome, finishes the song so well.

  • My favorite part is 0:00 to 9:41.

  • @JoshQ124 that sort of comment is soo old dick rag

  • @Brentypooz Then why bother wasting your time with it, Douche Bag?

  • @Brentypooz

    haha calm down man(:

    who cares????

  • Comment removed

  • @JoshQ124 I agree, that would be the best part ;)

  • Buckethead is GOD with the guitar cuz he can play ANY kind of music with his whitte Guitar. love buckethead

  • 7:00-7:50 is my fave bit

  • @Dungon48 besides that solo (which is one of the greatest ive heard) i agree with you

  • Was anyone else as blown away as me by this song?

  • @HarryPay3 yes i f**king was

  • @HarryPay3 yep- every single time that i listen for four hours-or six

  • @HarryPay3 yep- every single time that i listen for hours on end

  • @HarryPay3

no thats why we all listen to it

  • I don't know what to say! I have no words to describe this!

There are too many unbelievable songs by Buckethead!

I want to listen to all! It's impossible! My brain is melting and my ears are on fire!

  • @HenceHonesto he divided by 0 :P

  • 5:48 <3!

  • BEST SONG BY BUCKETHEAD. HANDS DOWN!!!

  • I just recently found out about buckethead, do any of his songs have lyrics?

  • @ontariobuds Some do, like Ballad of Buckethead, but most of them are instrumental.

  • @ontariobuds Search Buckethead-Danyel in youtube, sung by buckethead himself ;).

  • @ontariobuds he sings in his song danyel

  • !@#$

I hate it when I find masterpieces like this. A whole day can go by with this on repeat, and I won't even notice because I'm too busy enjoying it.

  • 2:25 Fuck me that sounds awesome with the bongo drums!

  • 8 people missed the Like button lol

  • Comment removed

  • While I see both sides of the name argument, I must respectfully disagree with both sides. It doesn't matter what name a musician goes by, be it Smelly Arseface McSucksberg or Something awesome, like Sir Lance Thunderslayer. Music is about the sound, not the stupid letters that go into a name. As the old saying goes, "A rose by any other name, still smells as sweet." Learn it or leave it, I dont care.

  • @Retrograyed So as you say - it doesnt make any sense to call him anything else then buckethead!

  • @waisinet As I say, call him whatever you want, I'm going to call him Pailhead, just to annoy people

  • My fav part was when Bucky plays the guitar

  • fuck his privacy, he famous...get used to it.

  • One of my favorite songs of BUCKETHEAD

  • @KristyB5100%SIGNED

  • @MistaB That is antisocial behavior, not invasion of privacy

  • another great song he should play live -sigh

  • @itmittents Couldn't agree more.

  • this song is great up til 9:41

  • thanks for making my day

  • I think this is very much a personal song, telling a story about Bucketheads life from 3 points of views. A peaceful view, a demented side, and a personal look on himself, ( 2:11 - 2:26 ) Truly amazing song.

  • there are lots of great Virtuoso's out there like Satriani, Vai, Hendrix, Paul Gilbert etc..but IMO nobody can write a song as good as Buckethead...NOBODY!!!

  • god this song is soo amazing.!!!!! i cant stand it.

  • 5:43 = eargasm

  • I think this song shows everything he's capable of. You get a little taste of everything from the brilliant harmonics to the face-melting shred. I think people are afraid of him because they can't put him in a box. They can't say, "oh, he's this or this." If I've learned anything from him - and this song in particular - it's that amazing things are possible when there are no rules. Used to be a scary concept to me, but I've embraced it fully now. :)

  • @KristyB5: Sounds kinky.

  • @KristyB5 If you listen to Buckethead's music a lot, you will understand him more.

  • @KristyB5 that is very very true.. i used to write songs to a continued tempo, key, and sometimes even rythm... even watching bucketheads performances gives me a whole new outlook on music theory. hes a genuis

  • Keep musical players as they are! Doont get concerend with there personal life! Cuz they arnt players! They are Heros! And Heros suck!

  • why doesnt this song have over 9,000,000 views? or 900,000,000 for that matter?

  • @MrFlippy9000

everyones too busy listening to Ms. Gaga.

    sad but true.

  • @Tartersauce101 Its a shame. I think we've taken a step back in the music industry, as well as culture all together.

  • @Tartersauce101 reading this comment just REALLY depressed me for some reason, man... *sniff*... BH for life!!

  • I love him. He's not like other artists.

  • I think this song and soothsayer would have to be my two favorite Buckethead songs. I mean, Iove all of Buckethead's songs, but this song is just so epic.

  • Wow, I don't know how this album slipped past me. This is way more musical than anything else I've ever heard from him. It's really good to hear.

  • I have listened to this song so many times and it never phases me that it's a bazillion minutes long (in it's various parts). I never stop being excited for the part that comes next. Then the next part. Then the next part. Can you marry a song?

  • I have a boner right now after listening to this

  • @TailsIceify This is my "if anyone wants to know why I adore this man, here you go" song. I have melted people's brains with it.

  • @KristyB5

I agree. Just posted this along with some text discussing him as one of my favorite artists. If I had to show someone anything by him...you know?

  • Its amazing. You could have a top 100 Buckethead songs. More than that but 100 makes most sense. No one ones a top 333 >_>

  • holy crap 1:30 scared the hell outa me

  • "He is not to cause the water to cease flowing about the island of the tower, nor to molest the tower in any way, nor to entreat of the stones...He is not to open the door which leads to strange time and place, nor to invite Him Who lurks at the threshold, nor to call out to the hills."

  • @sellingpens death?

  • @sellingpens Where is this quote from? Is this some kind of inside thing among the ones who speak English as their mother tongue?

  • @EliasJalonen It's from the Novel "Lurker at the Threshold"

  • these songs are some of Bucketheads best and the book is fuckin sick too if you can handle it

  • what lurker at the threshold by H.P Lovecraft? or is there an elepphant man's alarmclock book?

  • @mattyb7206 yeah lurker at the threshold by August Derleth & H.P.L

  • lurker at the threshold = HP Lovecraft

    Elephant Man = John Merrick

  • @MrFlockSays

The Elephant man's real name is acutally Joseph Merrick.

  • @BucketTribute who is that though?

  • @Galloelgrande No one knows... No one knows man.

  • Buckethead is beyond description. May his body live long and his music live forever.

  • 5:41

    this is great

  • @dreadbet yes!! orgasm ttm

  • the best songs on the album by far!! the solo in part 2 is amazing.

  • Magnificent all parts, def a favorite.

  • @CochiseCastle Many artists make reference to a "lurker below" and I always interpret it as the chaos that lies beneath our reality.

  • 4:44 that solo got me right in the heart mn

  • d@mn its been a long time sense i heard anything this awesome - this is ganna get me more into buckethead for sure

  • What an awesome song. It has so many strange ideas and things, but still isn't overloaded and there's a great atmosphere and a nice feeling.

    Buckethead ftw!

  • About the people that call Buck by his real name, dont, because that is Brian, this is Buckethead. If you dont understand, you'll just have to figure it out one day. In 09', I waited like 2 hours to meet him backstage, and if you call out Brian, he ignores you unless you say Buck or Buckethead.

  • @BucketbotX OMG are you serious about meeting him on his 09 tour???!!! i saw him 3 times on his 09 tour but i was told by plenty of people that in 09 he was leaving straight after the show unlike in 06 when u would have to wait 2+ hrs to meet him...what venue was it where u met him?..do u know if hes gonna do it on his 2010 tour??

  • I didn't exactly meet him, it was a reunion kinda thing cause i met him in 05. We were at the Vic, i left early, so the show still had like 2 hrs left. When it was over, my friend went to him immediately, then he called me to go back to the theater, so i convinced my dad to turn the car around and so i went inside and had like a 30 second, "Hey Bucket can't believe how amazing your music is, keep it going!" My friend gave him a handshake.

  • Ohhh I see....the closest i got was waiting 3 hrs before the doors opened to get front row

  • Hehe, at the vic, you dont really have to wait for the doors to open. I believe they wait for the first person to show up then keep it open. My 2 best friends and I usually show up at 5 PM, since the concert starts at 7pm here, and there's always at the most 3 people already there at that time. We've been doing this routine for a couple years too.

  • @bucketzakkdimetconn I waited, too. Then some sweaty bald dude on ecstacy elbowed me in the mouth and knocked me out of the way.

  • @KristyB5 that sucks lol what an asshole...the NYC show at BB Kings?

  • @bucketzakkdimetconn No, this was at the show at Mr. Small's in Pittsburgh. I was so pissed. If you see my pics from the show, I have people tagged as "Asshole who wouldn't move," etc. I'm so short and a girl and I just wanted to be by the stage!!

  • anyone know if buckethead composes the drums in his songs?

  • Buckethead is for people who only accept the best!

  • I wish he would play it live someday... Such a great tune!

  • reminds me of electric tears

  • How can someone go from mild to absolute shredding in the same song? It defies the laws of physics. Bh is my god.

  • right on man,

  • @skwidlipps

Physics don't apply to Buckethead. He can instantly go from any note on the guitar neck to the next with no delay.

  • @skwidlipps check out genghis tron (Rock Candy) haha

  • @skwidlipps ha ha and god can defy the laws of physics

  • Feel it into your soul

  • Please do not refer to Buckethead by his leagal name. He has requested people not to do so, because only his family does so. Naming him by his first name is invading his privacy.

  • Thats retarded. Thats like saying calling President Obama, Barack Obama, is invading his privacy. Suck a dick you fag

  • Find me one person that refers to Yngwie as "Lars Johan".

It does not apply to every person on the planet, but id does to a man that has requested hundreds of times to not be called by his leagal name.

Call Nikki Sixx "Frank Feranna" during the 80s and you'd be a dead man.

When Buckethead becomes the president, I agree that people should know his name. Until then you are a disrespectful homophobic asshole.

  • No, he actually just says that as part of his fake persona which is Buckethead. He doesn't mind people who actually know him (not just his family) to call him Brian Carroll. Obviously, if you ran up to him on the street and shouted "BRIAN CARROLL!" he might not appreciate it, but if you actually know him, even just a little bit, he doesn't mind you calling him Brian if hes not performing. I personally dont actually know him, but I know people that do and I have seen him w/o his mask and bucket.

  • I have seen his band mates call him by brian in a few vids but they basically ARE FAMILY xD. imma just stick with Buck form now on :P

  • @Macycrystal just calm down, buckethead videos arent a place for flame wars. im just jumping in to try and stop one from happening because i can see where this is heading

    peace

  • @Macycrystal you're not supposed to call everyone by their first name. If they request that you refer to them as something else, you do it. Unless you're trying to be an ass hole or the title they request is offensive to you. it's like when people go by their middle name rather than their first. furthermore, Buckethead's ID card reads just that. ``Buckethead''!

  • @Macycrystal Well, obviously you just did the same thing :P so i wouldn't talk,,, oh and by the way, if you don't want it happening, change you youtube name while you're at it,,, after all, you DO want people to call you by your first name,,, its "the law"

  • @MistahhB wow ive never thought of that before ive always wondered why this song is split up into 4 diff parts & not just one long song...you might be on to something here my friend :)

  • lol

  • @MistahhB that is one of the stupidest things i have ever read

  • @b7a7z7 Maybe the part about invading his privacy was stupid, but the rest wasnt. The rest is true; Buckethead doesn't want people calling him by his first name unless its his Mom or something. Buckethead auditioned for Ozzys band and Ozzy asked what his name was, and he said something like: "Brian, but only my mom calls me that", and Ozzy said "pretend I'm your mum then". Buckethead didn't make the cut though, because he refused to take off the mask and bucket.

  • @MistahhB I dont know if he would be happy you are defending him, or distressed that a comment about his name got three times the amount of tumps up as a comment about his music. But I'm disgusted. Props to you Skwidlipps, and all who thumb you up.

  • isnt Lurker At The Threshold a series of 4 songs?

  • yes it is

  • beautifull

  • Best Buckethead song in my opinion.

  • Amazing

  • this is a great Buckethead song. it has a little bit of everything. it shows his really slow and emotional side, but it also shows his great riffs and amazing tapping/shred skills.

  • ei men were did you found all the four parts or were can i search it ?

  • So this song is 4 parts and u put them all together for this vid.

  • One of the best compositions of instrumental music... this is amazing... thank god for Brian Carroll...
