  • @goobweb what?

  • @jonesk123zero the lead guitarist is my dad

  • Just discovered this band right now. All i can say is: WOW!! Brainiac where have you been all my life! Fucking awesome shit.

  • Such tasty genius!

  • my uncle showed me, my underwear was stained...its okay?

  • dude such a great underated band!

  • I met Tim about a month before he died at a warehouse party in Atlanta. Strangely enough that was the only Brainiac show I did not catch. Their original guitar player from the early 90's was blond chick.

Brainiac is gone for good but at least Six Finger Satellite are back. These were the only two high profile punk bands of the '90's that used synths.

  • @DeathMetalDouglas68 Then so you just met Tim/Brainiac prior to their tour w/Beck in Europe - and I remember the infamous 1st Whiskey show (when Michelle was the blond guitar) & where I worked merch and missed seeing/meeting Timothy Leary and Darcy (Smashing P) I do, remember seeing a flash of Darcy b/c she wore all red; dickies, vans, tshirt - all red w/the white blond braided hair. I remember Juan telling that we were invited back to Leary's - why we didn't all go - I dunno. damn.

  • great band.

  • Mtv? SRS?

  • Yeah! MTV Brasil.

  • Brainiac live were unbelieveble! dancin' round and round i was fallin' in the sea! and it was first time i saw them!

  • i remember that tim and i used to wrestle in between classes in high school, i mean like full on tackle each other, books flying and our stuff scattered everywhere in the halls.. i remember his calculus book skidding about 20 feet away..we just thought it was funny to put on the display. hah

all the new *new waver girls thought he looked like Paul Young (every time you go away - 80's sensation)

  • Must have been great to go to school with Tim- but calculus in high school? Ouch!!

  • ...hence Brainiac - Tim really was a

  • Wow. Art imitates life. Even though I don't live in the Gem City, Brainiac was well liked and loved in Cincinnati. I used to have the article regarding his passing. To watch this feels like lost innocence. Much love to the friends and family of Tim.

  • did you guys follow WWF or something???

  • greatest band ever R.I.P timmy

  • straordinari

  • what other albums do they have where can i get it? its too good

  • This band was remarkable in a time when a lot of fantastic bands were happening. I got to know them and saw them live probably close to a dozen times over the years. I think they had the ability to have been wildy popular despite being pretty dischordant at times. Oh memories.

  • saw them in leeds supporting gvsb in about '96. craziest music i'd heard up to that point. they completely blew gvsb off the stage. r.i.p.

  • tim rocked

  • I saw them live twice at the Cog Factory in Omaha. Explosive live act

  • he was a good freind of mine. R.I.P. Tim!

  • I love this song.

  • Definitelly Brainiac is one of the best bands ever... I love them. R.I.P. Tim T.

  • way ahead of their time and one of the most exciting live bands i ever got the pleasure of sharing the stage with...timmy is a missed soul.

  • its insane of how much you hear brainiac in the mars volta.

    cedric praises them.

  • And alot better than the mars volta they are!

  • lets not get carried away

  • cedric himself says they (brainiac) did it beter than anyone would!

  • He was talking in terms of the style alot of underground bands coming out now who try to emulate alt bands from the 80s. I dont think he meant he believes they did what TMV does today better

  • i remember him saying he was inspired to use all those vocal effects on bedlam in goliath by brainiac's use of them

  • and thank you for posting this gold stuff...

  • Wtf...i finally found this vid...yeah pump my computer up and fuck off my neighbours...Brainiac are more than Music...

  • i just dusted off the old Brainiac LPs and looked this up. i wore out the VHS tape i had this recorded on when i was in junior high...damn, i miss these guys so much. i saw them in bowling green, ohio when i was like 15 or 16.

  • this band was so fucking good live. one of the reasons that i could have lived in ohio and not hung my head in shame.

  • i fucking love this band

  • Wow! I had no idea that Brainiac had a vid-yo! I miss these guys so very much. Great live act, brilliant records. Inspired legions of fanatic followers back in the day. Thanks for posting this!

  • Whoa. Brings to mind a question. What band from the 90's is more avant-garde than Pavement?

  • pavemnt isnt avant, theyre jsut really really GOOD

  • Does anyone else think Tim looked just a little like Jim Morrison in this video. Not saying %100 like him but similar?

  • a little bit haha

  • this is amazing, I farking love Brainiac. RIP Timmy

  • yes!!

  • As a Brainiac fan for 6 years, lemme say: thank you.

  • You're welcome, bro!!

  • Finally, I've been waiting for someone to post this on YouTube. Amazing video from an amazing band whose career was tragically cut short. One of their best.

  • damn. we need a better version on youtube this one was recorded right from the tv.

  • Look up "Brainiac - Vincent Come On Down" it should be one of the first ones, the username is johnyallsmiles

  • never knew brainiac got air play. killer album! weren't those guys from dayton?

  • Yes, they were from Dayton, Ohio.

  • It's too bad it's taped off of a tv,if i remember right,the video has a cool colour scheme,but i'm not complaining.

  • there was a video for strung, off the same record, but that's all i've ever been able to find.

  • Never seen the video before, but listened to the song thousands of times! Incredible! I wonder if there was ever a video to "Nothing Ever Changes"?

  • Holy crap!!! Someone remembers this video besides me? When this song came out it was unlike anything else be played at the time. It's still fresh even today.
