  • God love you Diana..I remember seeing you at Tavistock in Devon...you looked so thin...I'm sorry for the pressure we put on you. XX

  • I just dislike the fact that she seems sad when in fact she deserved the happiness.. we still love you Diana! Take care of us from whereever you are :')

  • "taken the time to sears" LOL who wrote the subtitles?

  • @cjae1994 - I have a feeling it's automatic on 'voice recognition' totally rubbish BUT its worth it for the laughs!

  • @garyj79 It's really sad watching her like this, but I couldn't stop laughing at the subtitles. I'm Mexican and I understood every single word. If it isn't on automatic, who ever did the subtitles should get fire haha BUT it is hard sometimes to understand the British accent.

  • @cjae1994 - I find it hard to believe that someone is physically translating this as at one point Diana said "the Royal family" and up came "the penis family" in subtitles or something.......!!! hang on a second, thats possibly true though lol ( you have a very good grasp of English for a Mexicano! )

  • @cjae1994 - On reflection, I think the voice recognition has a hard time understanding Diana because the questions Martin Bashir (the interviewer here) askes, are pretty bang on in the subtitles (aka correct)

  • @garyj79HAHAHA I did not saw that one (The penis Family). I'm watching it again just to see it lol. In the beginning of this video the interviewer asks "What effect did the depression have on your marriage?" and the subtitles read "Through the depression have on your marriage" so I'm guessing a Asian with very bad English did the subtitles, basing it on that there are also subtitles in a Chinese/Japanese or whatever language the subtitles are in.

  • @garyj79 Thank you I guess? I'll take that as a compliment instead of an insult to Mexicans lol.

  • @garyj79 yo, dude, get your shits and giggles over the BETA captions on a video of a kid crying about his brother biting his finger, not on Princess Diana's interview. Also, to viewers, that language is Japanese and believe it or not, English isn't the center of the universe in terms of languages.

  • haha who's the retard that wrote the english subtitles down the bottom?

  • I feel i was born to late..when she wasn't alive

Missed out such a beautiful human being

  • It's to unfair that people so lovely, caring, beautiful should have to suffer for other's stupidity!!!!!!! Diana will be in our heart forever!

  • The Most Attractive about Princess Diana is That she Smiled when she didn't have to, but then we see a very shy person shy of herself just because its too good to believe in

  • her sad smile :(

  • She was such a wonderful, beautiful and caring woman. She will never be forgotten

  • did anyone see her facial expression at 5:43? wow.

  • she leads from her heart. that's why we love her so.

  • So sad! R.I.P. beautiful Princess!

  • One more thing to add; she's the ONLY popular human being who has always been in the media, who has ACTUALLY answered questions from an interview. To the point, and no beating-around-the-bush.

  • I wish I could have met her so that I help her out through her rough times; give my shoulder to her, and so on. Poor lady, she's so humble; SO honest with her depression and her self-inflictions. She emphasizes how human she is, despite her title of Princess of Wales. I love her for that. It amazes me how much of an impact she has on my emotions for her, considering that I was only 6 years old when she passed.

  • she is so shy...i love her eyes as well and so soft spoken....

  • Beauty and brains as far as I'm concerned.

  • her eyes sooo beautiful....:)diiiiii miss u:(

  • Has anyone noticed that at around 1:50 when Bashir asks about how Charles reacted to Diana injuring herself, Diana replied that "Obviously anyone who loves someone would be very concerned about it." Throughout the interview, Diana repeatedly states that her husband did not in fact love her. This implies, quite strongly, that Charles wasn't all that bothered by his wife's despair. So very sad...

  • @MrEm22 according to him she was just trying to get attention so he didn't need to show concern for it. as she stated it was the wrong way she had done it and wished she had done it differently. but I do agree with you on this. He didn't love her, he just needed and heir and she was a virgin. She was/is a beautiful person inside and out.

  • She is such a lovely person.

  • God, I love her...

  • This is such a great interview. Diana did most of the talking and the camera was almost always on Diana. Why couldn't Martin Bashir approach his interview with Michael Jackson the same way he did with Princess Diana?

  • Took a £600 million divorce settlement, when asked by White House on first trip to America who she wanted to meet she said John Travolta, went on one week-long photo shoot in Uganda then got hailed as a campaigner against land-mines.. The most overrated woman in history.

  • I implore you to research her time in Cambodia as well, and really her efforts all over that area. She opened the world's eyes to a lot of the global suffering, and wasn't afraid to get down and dirty to do so if necessary. The reason she rose to the level she was at was due to the fact that she broke the "rules" of Royalty - she didn't use her power to go shake hands with people who came to see her. SHE went to see THEM at their lowest point. That is what made all the difference.

  • How gracefully she talks!!!!!

  • Definitely not dumb!! Listen to her talk, she's clearly very intelligent and articulate. Quite enigmatic but also direct.

  • I wish she was still alive to see her son's wedding you went to soon gorgeous <3

  • I didn't know much about her since when she was alive I was very very young (about 7 when she died), but my teacher assign us a research paper on a person of frame and with the royal wedding I decided to look on Diana since I didn't want to do Prince William and Kate. Listen to hear, I am overwealm. This is a woman who I never thought of possible as a royal yet I am in love with her spirit and her courage. I still she is a very good person at heart and wished her life wasn't cut short. RIP Diana

  • i just want to hug her :'(

  • she looks so frightened when she answers his questions :(

  • @skiimmmy I thought the same thing. She looks like she is trying to answer very carefully. But she looks absolutely beautiful.

  • @SheaRoddy1 she looks up at him with the most scared looking eyes, its sad but she's just an amazing person inside and out!

  • after all this time, i am still mesmerised by this amazing woman; she truly understood the real power of love and poured it out freely to those she met and touched in her short life-Diana was very closley connected to others with her overwhelming sensitivity and genuine concern she showed for them-that kind of spiritual vibration shines through a person-it cannot be faked;others saw and felt it pulsing through her and responded as we do when we know someone cares. Long live her legacy.

  • @Delorioable What a beautiful comment. x

  • she reminds me of keira knightly, if they make a movie about her, they should use keira knightly!!!

  • Camilla pig got NOTHING on you Queen of our heart's xxx.

  • she is the nicest person! and honest

  • I still wonder if Henri Paul was drunk or not.

  • @MACKATTACK835 She was murdered...

  • I still blame the paparazzi for her tragic death in 1997.

  • not trying to be funny nor mean and it is said with what she is saying how she was sort of teased but i thought it was sarah ferguson who was the one that was always in the tabloids

  • her eyes are so different from the time she was first married. Then, they sparkled. In this interview, she looks likes she's about to cry

  • rest in peace , you're the princess every girl dreams to become <3

  • It must have been dreadful for Camilla’s children having such a disgusting filthy ugly whore for a mother. Apparently, Camilla was frequently drunk for days at a time having been with numerous men while Andrew Parker Bowles was away and often never even bothered to shower! Is it any wonder her own two children still have drug abuse problems when they have a whore mother like camilla and are not sure who their father is as camilla was fucking anything with a pulse!

  • Lady Di was a loving and graceful lady.

  • interesting....she keeps calling him..."my husband"

i bet calling him charles....would make her hurl again???

  • I love how after all the things Charles and herself went through she kept on defending herself. I love you Diana and i know that you are in such a better place right now! Never forget that your in my heart.

  • THIS MAN IS NOT THE BEST INTERPRETER IN THE WORLD!!!!

  • RIP Princess Diana. I hope that you are looking down on us every day and are proud of what your sons have become today.

  • As a french,i figure out about only 75% of this interview unfortunately.I just remember the day she passed away one of the saddest day of my life, with the one of Michael Jackson, even if i was young.I had never heard her voice,so soft, and eyes so expressive.William is now the only one whom reminds me Diana when i look his eyes.He has got the same sight, intensive and focused. That's why i prefer him,he reminds me her...Love from France

  • the part where he asked what charles thought about her hurting herself..he probably didnt give a damn any true husband would try to help and actually love her poor di she deserved better....R.I.P

  • Everyone can relate to something or the other that she says. When she talks about her reasoning behind her self harm. Harming her body. Saying that she did it because she wanted to get better..when no one is listening to you and that you have so much pain inside yourself and you want help..It's so true...and its not because you want attention, its because you feel so disgusted about yourself that you start hating yourself...R.I.P Diana...You were the only REAL HUMAN in that family. <3

  • poor Diana. she tried 2 please every1 and it got her nowhere. i wish she was still here.

  • I want to hug her so badly during this interview. She looks SOOOOO sad. She needed someone to love her, listen to her issues and be there her.

  • @hrhtamponcharles (cont 2) many times the depressions would be very bad and i admit that. but when i was truly down, instead of people trying to help me up i get kicked while i am down. made to feel a burden. made to feel that i was a disappointment. i so many friends, and even family still basically have me stigmatized for it. when she said "there is no better way to dismantle a personality than to isolate it" i seriously burst into tears. but this isnt about me. (cont )

  • @hrhtamponcharles thank you for your kind words. i have experienced much of the things she speaks of. obviously not on the level (in public, in a royal family) she did, but definitely in the ways she did. i am a nurse and it has always given me great joy to really know i helped someone. i have been called insane, unstable, mentally ill... just because i would often have terrible depressions because of the constant suffering i saw. (cont)

  • I can't possible imagine a person like her to be ashamed of herself. She was one of the most caring and affectionate people that stay the way she was with all the power and attention.Whats sad is that only such people who truly are genuine and deserve love because they shower love upon others get to feel this way. They feel bad about themselves when its not them that should be ashamed.

  • @Armana14 Totally agree with you, unfortunately, that lonelyness, and emptiness she was having in her life, made her go to other to give them her love and care. She some what canalized her own pain and hopless in love and compasion toward others. She was insecure herself because of the environment she was developing in. It must be sad and terrible to live a life like her, no matter what she did, they never saw it nor cheer her up or appreciate, they isolated her instead and criticized a lot.

  • @Armana14 everybody has problems. She blossomed because of hers. And everyone deserves love.

  • (cont 3) just look into her eyes as she speaks. she was one of the most loving and compassionate and caring people ever to have lived in that palace, seriously one of the few realllly good ones. yet she was made to feel like some dirty secret, a burden, and got no help or support. quite the opposite. you can see the sadness in her eyes but you can also see her almost bow her head after speaking as if she is ashamed. YOU HAD NOTHING TO BE ASHAMED OF LOVELY DIANA. THOSE AROUND YOU HOWEVER...

  • (cont 2) i have seen it too many times and experienced it myself very deeply to fool myself that anymore it is not a happy ending or happy people that others want, it is the tragic downfall "fucked up" collapsed person that is desperately trying to hold themselves together that people are interested in and want to see.... watch. even as they mock and insult you. it is sick. SICK. and in the end if they dont end up at the least dead "inside"... they end up dead period. (cont)

  • this interview is damned near killing me to watch. why is it all of the truly good and truly genuine and truly compassionate people who really enjoy and take their own pleasure from helping others are crucified not only in the media but in their own lives??? i have lived no princesses life. but i know exactly what she is saying about all of these scenarios and feelings and it is just awful and unacceptable as humanity to allow this to happen constantly to the good people who reach out. (cont)

  • Dudes, based out of this we as a people should be sensitive to Catherine Middleton. The monarchy cannot afford another marriage scandal.

  • £62.00 hahahahahahahaaaaaa

  • I love Diana !!!! she is just unique and had a beautiful soul

  • She and Demi Lovato are soooooooo similar. They both self injured at one point!

  • So sad. But her eyes light up with near happiness when she talks about William and Harry, and then die out again...

  • Ugh. breaks my heart. She was so freaking beautiful. So lovable and kind. and she suffered so much!

  • Love you Diana ♥

I am hating the ill printings they made of you recently.

You will be with your sons and their sons far long. Have fun in heaven with the Pope and Mother Theresa :D

  • Bless her heart she is so insecure. You would think being a princess would make you feel good, but not Diana. Such a beautiful person and spirit and she would just not accept it. I hope being a princess isn't so stressful on Kate.

  • 0:00 that face, that look, so angelic

  • Camilla’s family is of no consequence, the mother was from a family of common whores and the father was only a major in the army. Throughout the 1970’ camilla often over indulged in drink and conducted herself in a loud, crude, "robust" or rather uncouth and manlike manner. Combined with whoring around with anything in trousers over many years and getting numerous STD’s was certainly not considered as “conducting herself in a gracious and pleasant manner” more like a fishwife in a brothel!

  • @gxocgxoc Camilla should be ashamed of herself. They probably would have have still been together if not for her.

  • @TQF1andOnly You are so right! Camilla stalked Charles from day one, actually she'd been stalking him throughout his "courtship" to Diana. It was all a set up, I hope Charles and his awful whore suffer immensely.

  • The irony that the whole world loved her, yet she was alone...is so sad. She deserved to be treated with as much kindness as she gave so many others.

  • She was such a caring, beloved and human person!! Such a shame she's no more. I just loved her, she wasn't ashamed to show her feelings. She should have been alive, to join and support William on his wedding to Kate...A lot of respect and honour for Diana.Ok she was the princess of Whales, but most of all she was a true person,a mother to her both sons.God bless you Diana! xxxx

  • I don't understand why she would say that one's weight doesn't change with bulimia, when hers definitely did. In a big way. Seems to me like the self-image issues never went away... :( I feel SO sorry for her, none of that ever would have happened if Charles wasn't a douche.

  • I think this was a huge mistake.

  • 6 camilla fans liked this.

  • The future of the monarchy certainly does not revolve around one person–we only have to look at the late Duke of Windsor to see that! Indeed, society is fundamentally changing and the future for parasites like Charles and camilla is far from certain. Clearly, camilla was always considered wholly unsuitable by Her Majesty and, regardless of what ‘spin’ Charles now pays a considerable amount for-MOST of the public generally dislike evil camilla as she is a trashy vile STD riddled whore!

  • He regretted the day he met her!

  • You know, I hurt for her. I know she's gone and has been gone but I hurt for her. She was crying out for help from her HUSBAND. He was the one who should have helped her, he was the one who should have been concerned about her. Instead he was off with Camilla somewhere. It's like, once she gave birth to two of his sons, he didn't need her anymore. He lost interest in her. Shame on him. SHAME on him!

  • when was this filmed?

  • I'm just amazed at her honesty and how real she was. No wonder everyone loved her and with good reason. She didn't deserve to be killed that way :(

  • I'm just amazed at her honesty and how real she is. No wonder everyone loved her and with good reason. She didn't deserve to be killed that way :(

  • She look so sad

  • There are some parts in the video that her eyes is turning red it's like she's about to cry.

  • so well spoken.

  • They killed her because she was human...too human for them...

  • poor thing, she suffered from so many emotional afflictions: post natal depression, bulemia, self harm

  • such a soft sad lyrical voice thats full of honesty

  • YEP Charlie wasn't getting the attention. Beautiful Lady Di did . That is an obvious clue to a marriage in ruins. Jealousy, Envy, oh and Camilla. From day ONE! I cried and cried and prayed for her boys that day. I still think I am in shock. Note to self: Visit Princess of Whales resting place. On my bucket list. I can NOT believe he " charlie" married that homewrecker! How dignified and prestige is that? A load of CRAP prestige. He is and always will be a fool!

  • YEP Charlie wasn't getting the attention. Beautiful Lady Di did . That is an obvious clue to a marriage in ruins. Jealousy, Envy, oh and Camilla. From day ONE!

  • diana was the best person ever I just learned about her and I love her

  • Wow i was quite young when she was princess and to hear all of this, her struggles, really makes me appreciate and love her more. She was a great woman and just so brave for being able to tell her story and help so many people.

  • So many people seem to say that Diana was attention seeking, a media hog and that she was mentally unbalanced. Rubbish. I beleive she was just trying to make a difference in a world with such pain, heartache and sadness. Feeling such a sad person herself she seemed to want to reach out and try to ease the pain and plight of others and at the same time help herself feel better by making a positive difference. She seems like she was a genuine, giving, kind and gentle soul.

  • @Dav68Chs Thats a beautiful comment... i couldnt agree with you more.. she is sorely missed.. as if given the chance, she would have done some amazing things in her lifetime.

  • Diana is one of my heroes of the past. She touched MANY lives, not only in England, but WORLDWIDE. To me, Diana is one of my British icons, because she helped those in need, especially kids. Like Diana, I care about kids, especially those who have AIDS, are affected by war, poverty, drugs, whatever.

  • such a beautiful person.. Miss her...

  • What a lady needs is Love....All what she asked from her husband was Love...i c want for endless love in her eyes....which remain unfulfilled forever

  • Comment removed

  • She was a kind soul, compassion, and people who critizise and write her off miss what she really stood for. That picture of Diana shaking hand with a person with AIDS, in the 80s, did more to dispell the horrendous stigma and the illtreatment of those poor people then anything else could achieve, Liz Taylor did the same of course, not to mention her HUMAN nature, she was a human, not like the rest of them. We lost a light that awful day.

  • The most gentle and sweet princess UK has ever had!

  • I wish I could hold her in my arms and tell her it's going to be alright :( But it wasn't going to get better ..

  • The royals were so awful to her.

  • Every time I watch this I think about William and Kate's wedding and seeing the witch Camilla sitting next to Harry and then going in the back to witness their signing of the registry and start to cry cause it should've been Diana sitting there watching and witnessing her son's marriage. But I know she was watching from heaven and was very proud of him and his new wife.

  • Love how she give such a straight and honest answer...

  • she was so alone,

when I heard about this very heartful speech Prince Charles gave on Willliam's wedding I felt disgusted, he literally ruined his own wife, cheated on her and left her with her problems.. ehhhh

  • @yoshikitana she was just as bad to him. She cheated on him and everything too.

  • Omg i hate Bashir (inteviewer) , HE DONT EVEN SHOW SOME FEELINGS. SHE IS SAYING SE IS CUTTING HER SELF ALMOST AND HE IS LIKE ' OH OK ' *STARE LIKE THERE IS NOTHING WRONG*. same thing he did with Michael Jackson.

i hate you bashir.die in your own pie.

  • @NLGiirl

As an interviewer, it's not his job to empathize with people. He needs to not show his emotions, that might make the person who he's interviewing even more nervous. Jeez.

Do you seriously expect him to weep for Diana?!

  • @NLGiirl No, not to weep Diana, she just told him she is cutting herself, and he was like ok, next quastion.. Just stop and talk of something else.. I know how she feels.. and if he keeps going the same subject she will feel sad and all those stuff, he just had to show respect and begin with something else to talk about..

  • @NLGiirl he's an interviewer, he has to be objective. everyone knows that

  • Diana seems to be such an amazing person. I really admire her. Its so devastating what happened to her. Its incredible that she opened up like this. Shes so sad. Its heart breaking. RIP Princess.

  • If you look deep in her eyes she looks SO sad ! :(

  • she is so brave to admit her personal struggles.

  • Diana died when I was young, so she has always been present in my consciousness, but I've never really known what she was like. Watching these videos for the first time is lovely, as I'm finally experiencing the person behind the legend that I've been brought up with. Her kind and gentle nature is very touching, and the way she talks about mental illness and self harm is frank and insightful. I think she definitely deserves the adoration she elicits.

  • What a beautiful woman! Her death was truley a sad day in history. Her memory will live on for a long time.

  • I can see I'm not the only one who was looking at her eyes through the entire interview. They're full of sadness and pain... :'(

It's heartbreaking to watch, and it's such a shame that she was murdered. All because she wasn't like they wanted her to be.

  • She's very articulate and well spoken . . . and she comes across quite sweet and sad in this interview. :(

  • its heartbreaking to look at her eyes in this interview .. RIP Princess Diana. :'(

  • I always thought she had blue eyes? x

  • She's a very beautiful woman

  • Diana was a wonderful person and mother to her children. She did not deserve to have her husband betraying her with a previous married lover - Camilla. If she was older when the marriage to Charles was proposed she might have been more prepared to make this important decision (marriage and his history with Camilla), and to handle the situation. William is a credit to Diana and I am sure he will never betray Kate, especially in this way - he is solid. All happiness to them.

  • the queen and charles are such a dickhead, i hate them for what they did to our princess. she is the princess of the world. screw england. the monarchy doesn't even have any power why the hell are they torturing her.

  • @Mandinko23 What did they do?

I am young and missed all of this...

  • I see a lot of William in Diana.

  • she was so raw and honest....I wish the Queen and Prince Charles were nicer to her :(

  • WOW! Now I understand why people love her so much more than Kate Middleton. She was so true to herself. She was amazing.... she died the year I was born :( She went through so much .... It makes me want cry!

  • I love how she bows her head kind of when she's finished talking.

  • I don't see her eyes as sad. I don't see it upon her face, but I do see it in her voice the sadness...

  • i love the way she speaks absolutely to the point and precise.. she's probably thinking in her head, what kind of dickhead this person is that's interviewing me.. asks really dumb questions..

  • so beautiful, so honest...she was an amazing woman

  • Her eyes alone gives everything away.

  • Hey eyes are filled with such sadness, it breaks my heart to see her in such pain

  • @amirah808 I fell the same way. I looked in her eyes and I almost cried because I could almost feel her pain without her even saying anything.

  • @amirah808- I HADN'T noticed until now!! POOR Anna!!

  • @amirah808- She telling ALMOST the SAME story, Demi Lovato told about herself and her body about Bolimia!! POOR both girls!!

  • What a truly beautiful and intelligent woman she was. You can see why the media loved her. Everyone was just drawn to her as she was so genuine. She seems fragile in this interview. I found it interesting that she never bad mouths her ex-husband. She was a true lady.

  • I wanna spit on Camilla's face and Charles too. Those corrupted things ruined her life. She got over those two unmoral pieces of meat and when she found a person good, kind and capable of loving and protecting her,she was killed. The last pictures of her in Paris, depicted her blissful and with a huge smile on her pretty face.Diana should have been here with us and the world would be better for sure.Camilla shall suffer.-I wanna see justice to be dispense!!!

  • she comforted so many people but no one is there to comfort her ;(

  • even though they where divorced at this time, she still referred to him as "my husband" he obviously ment a lot to her.

  • she is doing very well to hold back tears, you don't see that often.

  • I know about this whole Demi Lovato thing about her cutting herself and she is such a great influence. But actually knowing that this happened to someone that was Royal is just a lot more moving because she was such a great influence and having her talk about herself hurting herself made me want to cry such a wonderful lady that no one would have expected of her doing that and she looks almost in tears and if she wear here i would cry with her.

  • This interview would have been better if Oprah did it.

  • she wasn't acting "royal" enough... so they killed her.... there are some families in great Britain that you can't mess around with..... diana did .... and now she is worm food.....

  • @LosAngelasBasketball the royals just sound like a legal versions of mafia families

  • Comment removed

  • No matter what walk of life you come from, we all share the same emotional experiences. Can you imagine someone living in opulence feeling so unworthy.

  • I love her so much. It kills me that she was in so much pain and that she had to go through bulimia and self injury. However, as someone who also struggled with bulimia and self harm, she gives me hope. It's reassuring to see that someone as kind and lovely as her struggled with some of the same things I did. She reminds me that even seemingly perfect people have their demons. She was a beautiful person whose mere presence has helped me through so much. She will always be
