Also, Australia is ranked number 3 in high living standards across the world, and no amount of google searches could help me find Uruguay's, but I know it is a long way below 21st.

Alright guys, I am Uruguayan and the problem is that for the last 5-10 years the AUF have been a bunch of asswipes who are completely ruining the football. Australia might be a sporting nation, but to be honest, so are we. We have a decent basketball team, and we'd be better at rugby if it wasn't amateur and so elitist. Australians own football and its development as much as the English, so we need not follow their contemporary line, as anyways, the English used to call rugby football. LoL I can't believe Uruguayans come here to insult aussies. Like everyone else has said soccer is not our number 1 sport (its behind rugby league, union, afl, cricket, swimming and tennis), but its in our spirit to be the best... we play to win and in time we will be a great soccer nation.

dont forget when Uruguay won the first world cup which they hosted, half the european teams couldnt even show up because of the depression. their other world cup win was pretty early too.. so i'ts been a loooooong time since they've won a world cup. Don't get me wrong Uruguay are a good team but theyre definately not the best in the world

Or better yet, stop lying. Uruguay has never won any genuine competition, Australia is reguarly the top medal-taker per population at any given Olympics, or win the rugby union world cup when all our best rugby footballers play rugby league, thereby embarassing the rugby union countries, or winning the 3 successive cricket world cup.
