Great slide playing—no doubt about it. Talent is very evident. One thing that gets to me is that many blues guitarists seem to "divide" slide playing and normal playing to often. Any blues enthusiast will tell you that the masters combined standard playing (w/ fingers) and slide licks. I find modern slide players seem to "just play slide". It makes for a bit of a hollow sound. Listen to Robert Johnston: he almost tears the guitar strings—combining slide and finger arrangements: the real deal...
