It is not like the temples at Abu Simbel that Rameses had his temple cut from a big mountain of stone. Something to see before you hit the bucket. Egypt I think is the greatest civilization of all . And when I went to Greece, everything is broken down, unlike the Egyptians who reconstructed Karnak, Luxor, etc. so tourist and future generations would be able to see how great the Egyptians are. I have not seen anything in Greece or Italy or in Europe as great at the pyramids, Luxor of the Valley of the Kings. Majestic, genius,worth to see. Great Egypt!.

Democracy more or less sets the check and balance for dictators with edifice complexes. I don't believe the Egyptians built the Pyramids. I believe they were there long before there was an Egypt. No Egyptian hieroglyphs on them or in them. They are not tombs. We are all being misled. @NORTENONE they were building the pyramids to replicate to them important star constellations on earth. i.e the position and alignment of the pyramids in relation to the nile correlates to the orion belt and it's position in relation to the milky way. there's a really good book called "the egypt code" by robert bauval that explains it all. it's extremely interesting!
