Feeding the spotted gar

@bigbuck721 we are amateurs pretty much, but I would just recommend doing a bit of research online and basically keeping a clean tank with the right levels of ph and nitrates and such. Basic aquarium stuff. We just kind of put him in there and hoped for the best. He is doing well. I'm sure an aquarium website that specializes in these fish are out there.

hey i plan on getting a spotted gar this month or next month, how many gallons is your tank, and is he/she the only fish in there (if not what you have with it).please respond, thanks.

@bigbuck721 Its my buddy's tank. I believe its around 50 or 60 and the gar is 10 inches right now. Aside from his food he is the only one in there. In the other tank we have. We have an alligator gar a spotted and some bowfin. That didnt work out to well everything tried fighting everything else.
