The best anyone/Obama or the Republican nominee can do is try to slow down the growth of unemployment.If anyone believes that there's going to be more jobs they are wrong.Great paying jobs and dead end jobs are going away.The collective conscience knows that and self preservation is instinctual.People will have to work into their 70's,only thing is,at what job?If you retire at 55 and live to be 95 you'll need a million dollars to have 4 grand a month.Anything less and you'll never have enough.

Gary Johnson is the best presidential candidate for the american people. He has the most logical and ethical economic solutions for this nation as a whole. I ask that you at least research him, and if you do not, if I did know you, I'd have to ask, why are you voting when you do not have all the facts? Unfortunately Occupy Wall Street is being run by an openly communist group and supported and organized through Acorn and MoveOn.org. Financially supported by George Soros who is one of the 1% that the "movement claims to oppose. While it looks good at the outset, it's just another phase of the NWO UN planned one world communist government.

Sure, care and attention needs to be an integral part to the monumental change which is now underway. But what do you propose? It seems to me that your only solution is... do nothing, while criticizing it and spreading lies?

Soros, MoveOn, and other established political groups, have already tried to co-opt the movement, but they have failed. This is not orchestrated by Acorn, MoveOn or Obama.

Occupy is a leaderless, non-hierarchical, open forum based on direct democracy.

I don't know much about Zeitgeist & Venus Project so I won't comment on that. The UN does not have the goal of world communism, that's just silly. The UN acts as a geopolitical tool of Western Capitalist powers more than anything else.

There is some truth to what you're saying, yes, but it's disjointed and doesn't form a cohesive structural analysis. Instead, it paralyzes you with fear, sapping your agency to act for positive change.

His army decieved the people into thinking that they would be protected. And once disarmed, they were marched away to farms,worked nearly to death and forced to dig their own graves into which they were thrown after being shot. Denying reality is to your detriment.

@Mars2O84 I know all about East Timor and who signed the papers to make it so. Claiming that someone else is ignorant does not make the claimant correct. It simply means that you adhere to a single point of view and subordinate all others. I'm sure that there are people who are very well intentioned about their participation in Occupy...It doesn't alter the fact that there are others who are making use of it for political gain. Particularly those with the bigger agenda.

We've already seen MoveOn and other establishment groups try to co-opt it, heard Obama and Romney say "I stand with the 99%" (blatant lie) and there are some Occupiers who still think in terms of the two-party system.

I still hope you get a chance to check out your closest Occupy in person, though. Help us defend this movement against co-opt attempts. Help us shape our future, instead of fearing the worst possible scenario and refusing to participate.

@Mars2O84 We do our part and have been doing it for 40 years. We don't worship money. We believe in the giveaway as generosity of spirit is reciprocated by universal generosity. It's a flow. We don't follow mainstream media and we take care of whatever lands in front of us. We don't walk past it. I can respect marching but rather believe in starving the "beast" rather than feeding it and complaining. But the best to those whose hearts are in the right place anyway. Good hearts are best.

This sounds great. And it sounds like what Occupy is building.

This movement isn't really about marching or complaining, demanding that the elites fix this mess they created. It's about "starving the beast" and creating alternatives to the current system.

Have you seen the type of infrastructure at OWS and other sites? There's a kitchen, medic tent, comfort (for sleeping bags/blankets), sanitation, etc. It's a model for the new society - gift economy.

@Mars2O84 We is our extended family. Yes...we also live by alternatives to the system in foods, healing agents and other related issues. No...have not seen the infrastructure at OWS. Gift economy fits in with our long term beliefs though. What we put out always comes back in the most unexpected ways. It's all about electromagnetics and the personal field of energy.

@fckuvrymch Interestingly the evil banks or the evil corporations don't ever use force to make you buy their products, but the government uses force to make you do things you don't want all the time. I like what you said about become independent. The free market decides what products are viable and useful. Crony capitalism is when the government interferes in the free market and gives a business an advantage over another. We really don't have real capitalism. Free markets are the answer.

@fckuvrymch The absolute truth...We have been raising our own for years. This year we got some Jersey Giant chickens for their big brown eggs. Growing our own food is more than independence from the corporations. It's also quality control. No pesticides, chemical fertilizers or irradiation. And we have a "relationship" with what we eat. I know what the plants need and it's given to them. I know what my chickens want and like and I work to be sure that they're happy...
