I had the pleasure of having him as a teacher for a summer intensive called the Julliard program. And he believed in me as a dancer and is the only reason I haven't given up on it yet. I still feel like he believes in me, if that makes sense. And when I watch him dance, it's like "That could be me." I'll never forget him, he's truly wonderful. (:
I love it, it is pretty, but not "simply pretty" as someone put it. You can definitely see a bit of a journey and does the ending represent literally looking back at something? This is very clever and so nice to watch. Love it!
@yardenz3 Im sorry my choreography and execution didn't satisfy your taste but I can assure you that through the creative journey in constructing this solo, looking "simply pretty" was never an objective..however, im flattered you find it "simply pretty" ..there's quite more behind this piece than what mightve met your eye...
@rekupp the title of this solo is "a year from now"
lovel dance..love the song...i had no idea the singer was the french first lady. all i could think of was the movie i first heard the song in tho, lol.
I loved the whole thing, but specially the little slides on his back on 1:24 and 1:29... so subtle yet powerful, smooth and it worked beautifully with the music!
I feel such a connection when I see him dance.... This is the first time I see Ryan but I really do feel very attracted to the way he moves his body. he is just beautiful. Thank you for this
a little too small and not passionate enough. if you're gonna go for tiny and symbolic, then each movement needs to be packed /loaded with emotion and underlying meaning.
@Davidignacio107 yea of course its my opinion :) but still, wouldnt you rather watch a dance that moves you emotionally than something that is simply pretty. the dancer is very talented, dont get me wrong.

@yardenz3 I only think that is subjective. It doesnt really NEED to be that way you know. It just your opinion :)
