  • The Sabbath issue is easy. The Sabbath is kept by RESTING, not by meeting to worship. Never confuse the day you choose to meet for worship with keeping the Sabbath! All you have to do is look in the Old Testament and see what breaks the Sabbath - and it is only one thing: working. Nothing is mentioned about meeting to worship. "What day do you keep the Sabbath?" is not the same question as "What day do you meet to worship?"

  • As I listened to your video and the Q&A, I couldn't help but ask the ? is following the Sabbath on Saturday or any other day, a matter of conscience or righteousness? This is very important because Paul says, those who follow the Law are under the Law(Rom.3:19) So if it's in righteousness then you must keep the whole Law But if it's a matter of conscience, then the day isn't as important as to whom you rest. (Col.2:16-23) Finally did not Paul say Christ is the end of the Law(Rom.10)

  • It's a matter of obeying God. Jesus said, "If you love me, keep My commandments." :)

I'm sure it's explained in one of the videos, but I made these quite a while ago so I don't remember.

  • Thanks, for responding to my ? and comments, but I don't think you answer them. The important thing is, is it a matter of righteousness or conscience? I listened to them and your facts page, and even in them my ? were not answered. Could you adress the Sabbath ? from this perspective?

  • I answered your question. It is neither. It's a matter of obeying God - the same as obeying God's commandments to teach, baptize, gather together, etc.

  • Thanks again for responding, just one other ?, Oh!, by the way. I agree about the Sabbath being changed and why, that I read on you facts page. Do you believe a christian can miss the mark concerning the Sabbath and still enter heaven?

  • Yes, in the same way that baptism is not necessary to enter heaven.

  • Thanks again, I also agree that a person can miss the mark concerning the Sabbath as well as baptism, and enter Heaven. All you have to do is look at the thief on the cross,(Lk.23:43) I must say, I have enjoyed the give & take. I was wondering whether you are involved much in evangelism. What I mean is, do you go out of your way to witness to the lost?

  • Search, Paul new that there were two laws written of old. The first law (the ten commandments) the second law ( the book of moses which contained ordinances, and sacrifricial offerings which Christ Jesus abolished. The ten commandments God wrote himself twice in the old testament and are eternal including the sabbath day!!

  • In the New Testament, when it came to people's physical needs and the Sabbath Jesus demonstrated mercy; I think the principle of 1out of 7 days for rest applies, but that it's not limited to any given day. God bless -

  • I don't see 1 out of 7 taught in the Bible. Of course physical needs come first, but that doesn't negate the day.

  • The sabbath was a shadow of things to come, ie. Jesus first coming 2000 years ago. (Col. 2:16). If I am walking behind a corner but you can see my shadow from the other side. you Know i'm approaching because you can see my shadow. The old Testament is full of symbolisms of Jesus. From Jonah 3 days in the whale to the sacrifial lamb. Once you have the real thing you don't need the reminder.

  • That verse is addresses in this series. I'm not sure which one, but I do address that verse and how I believe it is widely misinterpreted.

  • The problem that many have with Col 2:16 is not knowing who the audience was. These were newly converted Christians that were being encouraged not to allow the "nay sayers" to wear them down about keeping the weekly and annual Sabbaths. The weekly and annual Sabbaths tell the story of Creation, Redemption, Salvation, and God's Kingdom that is to come. They have more significance in meaning to Christians than any other peoples. Christians out of anyone else should be observing them! : )

  • So right about the Sabbath being a rest day and not necessarily a worship gathering day. My husband and I are looking to start Sabbath keeping as soon as he can flex his work schedule.

    Keep up the great work!

  • I believe that in Jesus a new dimension is given to the Sabbath - that as we rest physically, we remember our spiritual rest in Him. One does not negate the other. :)

  • I'm curious if this is the way you view this..that as we rest physically we remember our spiritual rest in him.

What about circumcision? Do you believe that a man must still be circumsized, as a way to remember the circumsicion we receive in our heart when we accept Jesus?

  • No, Paul clearly states that physical circumcision was done away with - that we are circumcised in our hearts only. There is no such negation of the Sabbath, and circumcision is not one of the 10 commandments. Circumcision was a ceremonial law while the Sabbath (along with the other 9 commandments) is a moral law.

  • Well we can't really say there is no such negation of the Sabbath, not when we read Colossians 2:16.

I have a question for you. Were only the Ceremonial laws shadows of Christ, or were other parts of the law shadow's, too?

  • I cover Col. 2:16 in another video. You'll find my views on it there.

  • It's not so much a view of colossians 2:16 I'm curious about...

But do you believe that only the part which you call the ceremonial laws were shadows of Christ, or do you also believe shadows are found else where in the law?

  • I don't believe the Sabbath is a ceremonial law so the whole thing is moot.

  • I understand that, but humor me though.

Do you believe only ceremonial laws were a shadow of Christ, or did the book of the law contain other shadows of him besides the ceremonial laws?

  • I don't know. And I don't have time to carry on a long conversation about it, especially in the comments section. I'm really sorry, but I am under a lot of stress at work right now and simply don't have time or inclination for long theological discussions. I won't bore you with the details, but right now I am really looking forward to this Sabbath!

  • I just wanted to say that it is refreshing to see other people that believe in the sabbath. I am Pentacostal, and also believe in the sabbath. I'm glad you took the time to do this. May God bless you. and thanks again!

  • interesting video sis, we are to do me than rest on the Sabbath, we are also told to 'keep it holy'

i would be interested to know why you do not accept the investigative judgement (am not looking for a debate, am just curious)

  • I'm Seventh Day Baptist, not Adventist, so my beliefs are in line with Baptist doctrine, except that my church also keeps Sabbath.

  • 'we are to do me than rest on the Sabbath'

    should read...

we are to do more than rest on the Sabbath

  • Where is that typo?

  • on my first comment

  • Oh! I thought you meant I made a typo somewhere. I understood you. I can read "typo-ese." ;)

  • okay sis

  • I sent you a friend invite so your comments won't have to go through approval. :)

  • thanks... i accepted
