If you unite for and protect your common history, heritage/ancestry, language, culture or religion, it's all about a group with one common goal or one common interest, and it's all nationalism. In the end he even talks about Muslims creating "the best of all nations". Pan-Islamism or a worldwide Islamic Caliphate/government is religious-nationalism, where the nation and it's members just are defined by religion instead of ethnic background or culture.

This speaker needs to read the Qoran and analyse it before claiming that such and such is kufr

@aghati ummm i think it is you who don't understand what the speaker is saying. we muslims only unite under one banner and that is Islam. the verse that u pointed out is for the people who transgressed others thinking that their nation/race/gender is superior than others. hope this will help u insyallah.

@aghati Asalamulaikum. I think in order for you to understand the essence of his lecture you need look into the founders of Nationalism and who created it. Especially in the modern age as he states in one of his previous lectures. The kaffar's themselves segregated and divided the Muslim Ummah, so if you continue this work of Nationalism them you surely are amongst the ignorant and misguided. We as Muslims should come together and re-unite as one.

@aghati the point of this ayat is that Allah (swt) created us in tribes and nations only to know one another. not for any other reason. not to discriminate against others or keep a nationalistic sense of pride. The Prophet (pbuh) said, "Let people stop boasting about their ancestors. One is only a pious believer or a miserable sinner. All men are sons of Adam, and Adam came from dust" (Abu Dawud, Tirmidhi).

@Nadira414 Muhammad Ibn Abdul Wahhab called away the Muslims from shirk when they again started to worship and associate with partners with Allah. It is not your duty to judge this individual even if he is wrong. From what I can see, he is trying to unify the Muslims regardless of their nationality. You cannot say that someone is going to hell and neither can anyone else. Only Allah can make that judgement call. May Allah forgive us all and allow us to enter paradise with his mercy.
