@Na7ool168 No you shouldn't. We have 3 birds. Other birds learn by watching too. The trick is to make each step you teach as small as possible. I use little balls of millet as a treat, and reward the smallest thing I like that they do. I keep the sessions short. Each bird has something that they like to do, so I alter what I teach each bird. The one thing they have in common is they like millet. There are books out on clicker training -my fave- for birds that you will want to take a look at.

@yahia114 They're just playing here, and are very young and gentle, (it looks worse than it is). Believe me, if they did any real damage, they wouldn't be allowed to touch those toys. They cost too much for that.

Yes, we did, because they were new to our home. We didn't want them flying into the window's and snapping their necks when they are startled. We had it done for safety. The good news is that after a few months they grow new flight feathers and by then are very comfortable and not easily startled. They are great fliers now, and are careful of the windows. It's difficult to catch them on film because they are so fast! But I plan on filming them again, but this time while they are in the air.

I also clip my birds flight feathers, wonderful thats yours can fly around the house now the feathers have grown back :)

havnt had Lemon's (my budgie) wings done for a while because she isnt very tame and its hard :/ but yes I beleive it is the right thing to do because birds can really hurt themselves flying in to windows and glass doors etc.

@ROBERTBUDA666 i agree it is cruel to clip/treim the wings!! i have cockatiel around a year and half old an i was told to get his wings cut but i didn't do it and his a really happy bird he flys only sometimes, Although i agree with there safety part because my bird went flying into the mirror and iwas so scared but now i have a curtain so he doesn't fly into it :)
