How silly Venom are not Satanists. The only real and open and honest Satanic Metal singer was and is King Diamond! King is the one he should have featured on the segment of a real Satanist Metal singer who believes in and practices Satanism.

@PRHILL9696 King Diamond is a Atheist! He said so himself numerous times. Now, he ATTEMPTED to practise Satanism but he had difficulty in truly believing it. And his lyrics are only story telling, not true Satanism. After all, if he were still Satanist, why does he produce albums like The Puppet Master and Abigail, which sound more like 19th Century horror stories, and without a hint of religion? I'm not insulting your thoughts, just correcting them.

His direct quote just last weekend to us when asked "We are one million percent Satanists and always were" Satanists BTW ARE atheists. Read the Satanic bible then you will see. King did say though that Satan to him is about the Powers of Darkness and the Unknown NOT Devils but spirits and powers that he has had experiences with and that many of his lyrics are based on real supernatural experiences he has had in real life.

@MetalShado lol sorry let me explain, I meant that essentially anything one dislikes is labelled as gay. And I find it valid seeing as it is common for many homophobes to actually be aroused by men, and most christians are homophobes. And if I'm violent for encouraging the destruction of buildings that symbolise the deaths of millions and continue to promote the persecution of certain people (for example gays) then I happily and proudly plead guilty.

@cyprokka Christianity itself does not entail for its followers to persecute anyone. It has been used as an EXCUSE to persecute others for political reasons (like when the Catholic church was in power, for example). True Christianity involves trying to make peace with people. It's not and was never meant to be the basis for a controlling world power, and certainly not meant to symbolize persecution of others.
If you want to, though, go ahead and wipe Westboro Baptist off the face of the planet.

People weren't allowed to watch certain TV channels or do/say certain things. I'm not defending the arsons, I'm just saying that satan wasn't involved and Varg's band didn't have lyrics about him.

@InterZlatan8 Black metal bands didn't burn churches as a satanic movement, they did it because of the oppressive Christian ideologies that as Norwegians, they were forced follow. The whole Satanism aspect was designed just to piss off and scare the Christians. Some people did actually believe that, but they were merely copycats who didn't really understand what Black Metal was about. The only real Satanist in the original black metal scene was Euronymous, and most people were amused by him.

on the whole metalcore subject... metalcore is badass... as well as thrash, death, and all that good stuff. People need to stop being elitist muscians. Alot of metalcore bands are actually heavier than alot of thrash and death bands as well. Maybe not as brutal... but heavier and it is also more melodic. all metalcore is basically "melodic death metal" witth hardcore.... sounds pretty metal to me. If its not metal... i dont know what is than... in other words.... embrace all forms of music.
